Bay Area ReporterI rarely delete an arts listing for subjective reasons, but when I heard about the censorship at the Mountain Play production of Hair, I had to cut it.
Not only did they cut the nude scenes –understandable, perhaps, it being an outdoor matinee with kiddies– but when I heard they also deleted "Sodomy," the only number sung by an out gay character in the musical, I had to remove any recommendation.
