Voice change during the day

Hello chaps!

So, I've been on T for a little over 5 weeks now, and I think I might be starting to experience the first small voice changes.
However, something odd is going on. Usually, when someone wakes up in the morning, the voice is lower and more hoarse, right? It takes a little while to shift back to the 'normal' range. From the youtube videos I watched of guys transitioning, they also mention this. Like 'Don't mind my voice, it is only lower because I just woke up' etc. But with me it is the other way around.

Sure, I have a very slightly squeeky voice for a few minutes. After that, it goes back to my normal female voice. But the odd thing is, during the day, as I talk, it ends up lower. So in the morning I have my old female voice, but in the evening, it shifts lower. I made some recordings, and sure enough, I can only hear a voice difference between week 1 and 5 when I listen to an evening recording.

Did any of you experience this or am I yet again an oddball?

You're just weird  :P

I went off T for 3 weeks and a week into that dry period my voice dropped so low it actually hurt to talk too much. It was even deeper in the evening when I started feeling tired or was relaxed. It was so deep that strangers looked startled when I'd talk to them.

Got my shot on Thursday and suddenly my voice is right back to being my old female voice. I'm absolutely baffled why my body would shift so suddenly after it'd basically run out of elevated T levels and then go right back to my old 'normal' as soon as I start again. Plus this recent shot was completely botched. Fluid literally ran down my butt cheek.

Are you subconsciously lowing your voice when doing a recording? If I remember correctly around 5/6 weeks is when my voice started cracking for the first time. Now I'm over 6 months and still crack (especially when I sing). I kinda thought I'd be through it by now.

I found that mine would do something similar - but I was 3 months on T.  My voice would be lower, as you describe, in the morning and then undergo a similar "drop" by the end of the day.  I attributed it to my voice wearing out, so to speak - because my vocal chords were gradually getting thicker, talking a lot during the day was more of an effort.

I knew that much! I was already afraid my voice would be normal. Can't have that! :P

I guess its just as Kreuzfidel said. Using the voice seems to lower it somehow. Its nothing I do conciously and just happens. I notice it when I open my mouth. The first words are usually higher before my voice settles a little lower again. Quite odd.

Today I analyzed the sound of some of my videos. I have been researching bird song, so I had the right programs for that. It seems that my fundamental frequency has lowered from week one on T, to week 5, so its nothing I'm imagining. So yay!

I have gone through a few major "cracking" phases. The second was about sixteen months in, when I went from tenor to baritone. I've had a couple of others since then--one of them just last year--but by then, I had been on finasteride for quite a while. I'm pretty sure that the meds slowed me down. Maybe the last cracking would have happened after two years on T instead of three and a half.

And the cracking when I sing always lasts a lot longer than the cracking when I talk. It's annoying, but at least I sing only in the car, so nobody hears me.
