Will my liver function stop me re-starting HRT?

I have had blood tests done at my doctors. I was told (over phone) that my blood are fine, but my liver is not functioning 100%. Will my liver function stop me re-starting HRT?

What I can't do is sort my liver out then re-start HRT. As my followup appointment with my GP is in four weeks (I am worried that she won't re-start HRT)

By the time I see my GP again, I will of been off HRT for 4 months, and to anyone who knows about our UK NHS, it takes forever for appointments, tests and such.

I know my liver may need sorting, but right now my transition is more important to me, and I can't be at a stand still much longer, as I am finding it hard to cope.

  There are several liver and kidney function tests involved in the blood work.  It depends on which ones to be concerned with.  Your GP may sit down with you and explain each aspect of the tests.  Then your GP will determine if it is caused by the HRT regimen.  My case there were only a few off-range highs and lows last winter from my bout with painful neuropathy in the feet and the max dose of Spironolactone which is also a diuretic.  That dose has been halved since. 
  Any off range in the liver and kidney readings is a concern with anybody taking any kind of medication.  Liver tests are usually mentioned in the drug ads on TV.  Be honest with your GP.  Tell him or her any kind of symptoms, no matter how minor!

I don't think it will. Most trans clinics, don't know about UK GICS, will allow you to continue HRT if you have Hep C. Not saying that is the cause of your LFTs. It's not as big a deal as people make it. The liver is a remarkably resilient organ. At worst, you take IM HRT. Or transdermal. They won't stop it, I believe. That would be cruel.

I have fatty liver was told to lose about 10 pounds, to 180lbs, from my present 190lbs. The test my endo wants me to take is the ALT(ie.alanine aminotransferase ) and the AST(ie.aspartate aminotransferase ). WebMD says both are good tests to see if there is any liver damage happening. Here is what it says on WebMD

An alanine aminotransferase (ALT) test measures the amount of this enzyme in the blood. ALT is found mainly in the liver, but also in smaller amounts in the kidneys camera, heart camera, muscles, and pancreas camera. ALT was formerly called serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SGPT).

ALT is measured to see if the liver is damaged or diseased. Low levels of ALT are normally found in the blood. But when the liver is damaged or diseased, it releases ALT into the bloodstream, which makes ALT levels go up. Most increases in ALT levels are caused by liver damage.

The ALT test is often done along with other tests that check for liver damage, including aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and bilirubin. Both ALT and AST levels are reliable tests for liver damage.

Why It Is Done

The alanine aminotransferase (ALT) test is done to:
Identify liver disease, especially cirrhosis and hepatitis caused by alcohol, drugs, or viruses.
Help check for liver damage.
Find out whether jaundice was caused by a blood disorder or liver disease.
Keep track of the effects of cholesterol-lowering medicines and other medicines that can damage the liver.

I hope my ALT and AST are not high, since I'm taking Lamisil for 90 days, or else my endo, may suspend my hrt, until I finish the Lamisil, for a nail that was pulled out due to fungus.

, Hrt can always be restarted again, once my AST and ALT levels are normal.
