Cher, suddenly everywhere again from last weekend's New York City Pride concert to NBC's The Voice, says she and transgender son Chaz Bono are finally in a good place these days.

'It was really difficult because it's hard for like 40-something years to have this little girl,' Cher told The Today Show this week. 'I screw up my pronouns so often. But Chaz cuts me some slack - I'm old.'

Thank to Chaz that my 12 year old daughter has an open view to TS. Its so much more influential on the new young geneartion when a star come out.
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

I grew up watching the Sonny and Cher show and love her music, but gay icon, never heard a word relating Cher and gay.

Despite her not always being open to accepting homosexuality, many in the gay community have always loved her. I hear pat of it is due to some of her "masculine" features which makes her kind of easy to imitate at drag shows.

Cher-  Gay icon? since when?

Her outrageous and flamboyant outfits, hair, and makeup have been widely mimiced by drag performers.
