Top surgery for me is still in the indefinite future. My chest is big enough that I'd most likely be able to have a reduction on medical grounds, but does anyone know if that would mess with future top surgery?

Talk to your surgeon ... I have talked with a couple that say ... how much they reduce is between them and you and not for the insurance to know & would work out the pricing for nipple reduction and placement.  Dr. Buckley at the University of Minnesota Medical Center is totally on board with billing an insurance company for a reduction and doing a chest reconstruction.

Can't you lose your license for doing that, though?

It's still a reduction ... how much is reduced is between your doctor and you ... so they aren't lying .. you would still have to qualify for the reduction but I am large chested and the doctor said it wouldn't be a problem to get mine reduced.
