Well my name is Kaitlin? I guess you can call me Keil (pronounced Kyle) for now. I'm young-ish, newly wed and have recently come out to my wife that I am trans. She took it very well and has been supportive, some doubts along the way but she is going to stick with me. It brings tears to my eyes that she is strong enough to brave the storm with me, I am really working on being more open with her and she with me. Because I almost forget when I am focusing on my own problems that I selfishly overlook hers, we are a team and I have to stop forgetting that.
So... I have the support of the most amazing woman ever, no problems right? We're both in the military is what complicates the situation so I have a a little over 3 years left in my enlistment until I can truly do something, (well maybe a few things) so I guess I just have to find myself and develop as best as I can until then!

I'm really happy to hear that your wife is taking it well. It's a wonderful and, from what I can tell, rare state. Is there any possibility of transitioning during your term of service? I don't know about organizational attitudes in the states (where I'm assuming you are), but in Canada, the military has been very supportive.

Welcome Kaitlin! :)

Maddy is right, it's not very common for a marriage to stay intact and I'm glad that she's sticking with you. I wish you the best of luck.

Welcome Keil!  Glad you found us.

Did your S.O. post here recently, by any chance?

Anyway, welcome.
