Melissa Sue Robinson is a well known community activist in Nampa, but she says she still feels like people don't treat her fairly because she's transgender. So she's pushing for the city to adopt an ordinance that would stop discrimination against LGBT members in her community.

"The mayor and the city council need to represent everyone, not just a few," Robinson said.

She says after Boise and several other cities in Idaho passed measures to protect LGBT members from discrimination, she feels like it's time for her city to do the same.

"If they can pass it, why can't Nampa?" she asks.
