Seems like there are quite a few prog fans here! =D hey! If I'm just gonna choose one it would be Selling England by the Pound by Genesis because it changed my view of music completely, but there are a few more, haha

Trespass - Genesis
A Saucerful of Secrets - Pink Floyd
Queen II - Queen
Close to the Edge - Yes
Houses of the Holy - Led Zeppelin
Trilogy - ELP
Zooma - John Paul Jones
Phaedra - Tangerine Dream

Just a few of them. Very few.

Bjork - debut

That album was transformative for me, and helped me embrace being different.

Lately, I have been really enjoying a lot of the music where edm artists are teaming up with vocalists or rappers.

I don't think I have just one album that that I hold dear, but I am a big music lover.

Beatles: Revolver, white album, Abby road

Frank Zappa: Freak out, only in it for the money, bongo fury, zoot allures, plus many more

King Crimson: Court of the Crimson King, Lizard, Larks tongues, discipline

Yes: Yes album, fragile, close to the edge

Simon and garfunkel live in new York

Jethro till aqualung, thick as a brick

And a whole bunch more I can't think of this sec lol

If I were to pick a #2 it would be Burial Ground by Stick Figure.

Number 10 - Greatful Dead - American Beauty  ---  "I let out from Reno..."
Number 9 -  Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited --- "Abe said where you want this killin' done...."
Number 8 -  Lynyard Skynyrd - One More from the Road --- "What song is it you want to hear...."
Number 7 -  Eagles - Greatest Hits --- "You can't hide those lyin eyes...."
Number 6 -  John Cougar - American Fool ---  "Hurt so good...."
Number 5 -  Fleetwood Mac - Rumors ---  "you make lovin' fun..."
Number 4 -  Neil Young ‎– Decade: The Very Best Of Neil Young (1966 - 1976) --- "Look out momma there's a white boat coming up the river...."
Number 3 -  Meat Loaf - Bat out of Hell ---  "So now I'm praying for the end of time to hurry up and arrive...."
Number 2 - America - History - America's Greatest Hits --- the greatest make out music of the mid to late 70's
Number 1 - Bruce Springsteen - Darkness on the Edge of Town --- the inspired follow-up to Born to Run that was delayed because of legal disputes between Springsteen and his manager.

I got to see most of these acts at one time or another.

My first rock concert in 1977 featured Skynyrd, Heart, Marshall Tucker, The Outlaws and a couple other groups.  It was only a few months before the crash that killed Ronnie Van Zandt and some of the other members of Skynyrd.  I also got to see America and Fleetwood Mac around the same time.

I have the Darkness album cover that I got signed by Bruce and every member of the E Street Band except for the big man Clarence Clemmons.

Powderfinger was not on Decade. An acoustic rendition was supposed to be released around that time on a cancelled album, but the song wasn't released until 1979 (Rust Never Sleeps).

Opps!
That will teach me to post in the middle of the night while under the influence of pain medication without looking at the actual album. Damn electronic music. I miss those days when you actually had to physically get up and walk over to your turntable and actually flip the album over to hear more music or look through your stack of albums to find the song you were wanting to hear......
