Hello!

I'm suppose to leave for Peru this Saturday but I haven't heard back from Nikky. She emailed me was August 1st asking about my flight and passport information. I sent the information back to her the same day. On August 4th I emailed her some questions and she never responded. Yesterday I emailed her asking if I will be picked up at the airport and where I will be met at. I haven't received a response yet. I'm getting really nervous. I don't think my plane ticket is refundable.  If I don't hear from her should I just go to Lima anyway and take a cab to Femilife? Will they be open on a sunday?
I'll be getting there at 12:20 am so I'll have some time to kill. I'm really nervous. Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks in advance!

How are you doing after the surgery? Hope you have a speedy recovery. Tell us about your experience with Femilife. I'm considering getting my FFS with them so if you could share some before and after pics. That'd be lovely. Thanks in advance :-)

Hello everyone!
The surgeries went well. I had a forehead reduction with hairline lowering, canthopexy, secondary rhinoplasty, and chin reduction with an implant. Dr. Pimentel didn't think I need a jaw reduction or cheekbone reduction but he thought I could benefit from cheek implants and maybe massetter muscle shortening. Although the patients of his that I've seen that have had cheek implants look really good, I decided not to get them because I've heard some negative things about them. I kind of wish I would have though! I'm also not familiar with masseter muscle shortening and the side effects so I didn't get that either.

My face is still bandaged up and swollen but from what I see it's looking pretty good!

Thank you!

Girlfriend you should have gotten cheek implants. That would make your whole face in general look a whole lot more feminine that's why a lot of doctors recommended this procedure. Please share pics with us if you don't mind :-)

By the way how did you pay? With credit or debit? Also how much did you have to deposit to book your surgery date? And you pay the rest when you arrive at Peru and after talking to the doctor?

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Isabel  :)

Hi Lexy!
I agree about the cheek implants. I should have got more procedures.
Before I came I payed for a secondary rhinoplasty, and forehead remodeling with hairline lowering first and the costs for the clinic, medications, and apartment. Then I added on the Chin and eyes after I met with Dr. Pimentel. I deposited cash into Nikky's American bank account. After I was in Peru, my mom who is in the US, deposited my money for the other procedures into the same account. She actually let my mom deposit an extra $250.00 to give to me to make sure I had enough for food. I lost my debit card so I was very grateful for this!

Thank you Jamie D! :-)

@ Isabel: So you have to pay for your own food while you're there, the medical package doesn't come with food? And you have to pay everything before flying to Peru, is that correct?
  •

Isabel2006

Hi Lexy,
You do have to pay for your own food except the 2 days your in the hospital they provide you with meals. There is a grocery store called Vivanda's that's really close to the apartment so you don't have to go to far. I think I've spent about $150.00 on food and other items so far and I leave Monday so it hasn't been to bad.

Omg after surgery, aren't you in pain? How are you gonna be able to cook for yourself? Don't they have someone that could cook for you? And are they doing some kind of treatment on your face to help with the swelling, like I heard Dr. Cardenas has this light treatment for his patients and Facial Team has hilotherapy to help with the pain, bruising and swelling? Also, did you get nauseous after waking up from anesthesia?
  •

Isabel2006

Hi Lexy,
Once out of the hospital I wasn't in too much pain. I was able to heat up some soup for myself. I felt better everyday. I did get sick a little after waking up from anesthesia but it wasn't too bad. They taped my face so I look like a mummy which I think was to help with swelling. I've also been icing my face and keeping my head elevated, drinking water and smoothies with lots of fruits and vegetables daily. I'm hoping it's helping!

Hey Isabel, about the flight ticket, how much did you pay? And which airline did you pick? Was it a direct flight or you have  stop somewhere, if so where? Nikky said the doctor has an opening on either the 15 or 22 next month. I'm most likely gonna go with the 15 cause my green card is going expired at the end of Oct so I don't wanna get stuck in Peru lmao. By the way how many day have you been over there already? You have to stay in Peru for 17 days right, plus 2 nights at the hospital?
  •

Isabel2006

I paid about $1250.00 for a round trip ticket. I also bought insurance so that made the price a little higher. I flew to LAX on American Airlines and from there I flew to Peru on LAN airlines. The nights in the hospital are included in the 17 days. Tomorrow will be day 16 here in Peru for me. I can't believe how fast time has passed! If you come make sure to bring warm clothing cause it has been pretty cold and they don't have heating. Are you getting full FF?
  •

Lexy711

Omg it's only Aug and it's cold over there already? I'm a tropical girl and I live in TX so girl I don't do cold lmao. No heater seriously? What kind of apartment has no heater? I think I'm gonna go the store and buy me a heater. Yeah I'm getting full FFS except trachea shave, so I'm gonna have forehead remodeling (type 3), hairline lowering, rhinoplasty, jaw and chin remodeling, cheek implants and lip lift. Total $13,000. That's $2,500 cheaper than Dr. Cardenas in Mexico which initially was my first choice.

I'm also interested in the canthopexy so if the doctor thinks I'm a good candidate then I'm gonna do that as well but I'm not sure cause my eyes is the best feature on my face so I really don't wanna mess with it unless it.  Since you had this procedure done, tell me where the scars at? Do you see it makes a difference? And you still haven't shared any pic with me yet girlfriend, if you're not comfortable putting it on here, you can always email them to me privately. I really wanna see your before-and-after
