So, turns out I never actually made an introduction. So, in a shameless crib from LTL and several others... Hi! I'm Zoe! I've been here a while. Got my pills, went full time, got my fancy face on, came out to friends and family, learned to speak in a pitch range from 210 to 380 hz... I'm basically saying hi just as I reach the end (middle?) of the road.

So, about me. I was born Christopher Scott M. 24 years and change ago in Bethesda, Maryland. I spent a bit of time in Connecticut and Virginia before hightailing it over to California where I spent my remaining nascent years. I was homeschooled as the oldest of a brood of eight, a reality that made growing up an interesting prospect at the best of times. I had great parents - perhaps the greatest, judging by their reaction to my newest venture, who managed to give us all a good childhood and even a college education!
College was at esteemed Christian liberal arts school Wheaton, in Illinois. At this point I was a slovenly fat neckbeard nerd - although I somehow still managed to acquire and keep a girlfriend for slightly over a year. I studied computer science and took a trip to Israel to dig around in ancient archaeological expeditions (basically another archaeologist's trash heap) before finding a job as a software dev in Madison, WI.

Shortly thereafter my latent feelings came to the fore and I began to actively seek therapy and prepare for transition. Which brings us to the present day. I'm living full time as myself, enjoying every minute of it, getting my name legally changed (to Zoe Scotia M.), experiencing fun new things like earrings and eyeshadow, and planning for my confirmation surgery next August.

*Whew. That's everything.*

Will you ever share pictures of your trip to Israel?

As usual, it is nice to hear you are happy!

I doubt that's everything  ::)

Ahh!!! Wheaton!! [goes on rant about downtown Wheaton and its one-way streets, and parking, and the turn lanes on Schmale just south of the railroad tracks]

Anyway, glad to have you here, Zoe. ^_^

Not going to argue that (Madison is similarly dreadful with one-ways)... I just walked everywhere, or took the Metra. Actually I probably still would if/when I visit - nothing like a town full of churches (110? More?) to make one feel safe on the streets at night. ^_^
