Ok, so this is my first time posting and I'm a bit nervous. I haven't gotten to start HRT yet so this is just me with a little foundation and clothes. I know I should start HRT as soon as I can, and my chin is horrible, but anyway what do y'all think? (plus what should I work on first)

I think you should work on the focus!   ;)

Really though, not HRT, pre-everything?  You have a great starting place.

This time I'm actually in girl mode, with some light eyeliner. Pass or no?

I agree with Casey, you are making steady progress.  One thing you will need to think about, besides the brow bossing down the line, is what looks like a scar on one brow.  You can cover that cosmetically.  And possibly a tracheal shave.

You don't look like a guy to me, if that's what you're asking.

If I can indeed pass without going that far then it will definitely move down my priority list.  I decided that face and voice were the most important parts of passability to me, so I looked into each of those in turn.  I should be starting voice therapy this coming month, and if that doesn't produce satisfactory results the Suporn Voice Surgery I've been reading about here looks like a fantastic alternative.  As for my face, I suppose there's really a chance that I don't see the posatives because it's mine.  If everything goes well, maybe HRT really will correct the flaws.  Here's hoping, and looking forward to starting that part of my journey(Waiting has got to be the worst part of this).

If you are contemplating voice surgery, I would urge you to strongly consider Yeson, based on the results from two of our members.  The topic was originally posted by JennyGirl, and her post-op results are mind-boggling good.

Do you mean the focus of the picture, or my ramblings?
Here is a clearer picture, but the bad part is it's a clearer picture. :P

Yeah, I was talking about the focus on you phone camera.  ;)

Second picture.  You're pre-everything, right?  Chin's not so bad - I agree with Emily.

Can't tell about your brow.  The impression is "male-ish," but not strongly so.  If you plan on going on the girl juice, I think you will do just fine.  And of you don't, you will still be in the androgynous zone.

I must have come up to about 4 - 5 months of HRT now.
I guess I pass most of the time now judging from that I only get that wierd look from people like once or twice out on town now.
But still i have my doubt and days when all I see is a man with boobs.

I don't know. Maybe thees should go in the fab thread but I just leave them here for now...

Well if I saw you I wouldn't give it a second thought, you definitely look female, and I love your hair. :)

I vote fab.

And I LOVE those glasses. They're perfect for your face.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

ahhhh I suck at covering beard shadow but wanted to post a more natural photo of myself without any photoshopping.

Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

Emma,
I think that your pictures belong in the "Fab" thread!  You've made a lot of progress.  Assuming that you've worked on your voice and mannerisms, there isn't any reason why you should be getting strange looks.  (I really love the bottom picture where you smile.)  Congratulations!

Hi, all.. posted a while ago, and I was just wondering if I look even remotely female in any of these? Thanks for the feedback ^^

(Pre-HRT.. as getting that is very difficult in my country and I haven't yet worked up the courage to take the 'test').

Absolutely, a beautiful female appearance just as I had said earlier.

To be honest, both yes and no.  When zoomed out, I think you look like a gorgeous female, 100%.  When I magnified the images, however, I could notice a few things; namely, some more pronounced features and a light beard shadow (mostly above the lips).  I'm not sure if I can say complete pass yet, but I do think you'll get there on HRT and I do think you're going to be posting in the fab thread almost immediately.

Not there yet, but prior avatars showed the potential.  You already took the first step - which is mental.

For pre-everything, you have done well with your look.  It is feminine.  Best of luck with your therapy and HRT, when you get it.  Do you have to do the RLE before HRT??

Thank you for being honest. Even this is overwhelmingly more positive than I expected when setting out - 'gorgeous' is certainly never a word I would have associated with myself, though i'd settle for just 'female' :). I find that it's really hard to look at myself and look past the 'male' features and not imagine that anyone would be able to immediately tell as well..

Could you perhaps specify what stands out to you? The beard shadow I can definitely do something about, but since I am still a total newbie at applying make-up, I am sure other telling features could also be toned down if nothing else ^^ (hints appreciated)

Thank you so very much!

It's a bit too much to get into in this thread, but the short of it is that while I do not have to do RLE before HRT (as far as I am aware), any treatment is strictly government controlled and it is up to one body of 'specialists' to determine over the course of a year or more of therapy whether or not I am "actually" trans. If they decide that is not the case, I am unlikely to ever be able to legally acquire HRT in my country. And to my knowledge, most 'applicants' are denied treatment. Hence my reluctance to take that step.

I wonder if this country is the one I am suspecting of...
