Alexis, geez you look a whole lot different than your previous avatar, very mature woman! Maybe your previous avatar was taken a while ago, like two different people. Nice to see a bit of a smile there.

This was taken yesterday. I took it because yesterday a customer who comes in often saw me approach and with a huge excited smile said "Hey girl!! How's it going"? Then immediately she looked regretful, and tried to back track saying "Hey guy"! lol I told her to not worry that I took it as a complement XD

She works in the salon next door, and I work at a beauty supply so I see her often. So for her to momentarily think I was a girl when I see her daily was pretty huge for me!!

I think it was the "updo" style of my hair even though my hair is short. I think I'm going to wear it like this from now on! I have a hair comb holding the back of my hair up kind of like a french twist and then the headbands. It looks better in person

Just curious what do you all think of the hair?

I think it's more feminine looking all pinned up in back and with the headbands until I grow it out longer :)

Well thank you for saying that.  I have never really asked anyone to before.  I think I have a male chin though.

I totally agree that Christine looks like female and I think she can go to female bathroom.  Obviously, I would recommend that she uses female's bathroom en femme.  Here, in England, I sent a few emails to shop's managers and they all replied to me that I can use female changing room without doubt.  I am a pre-op transgender M to F.

I have a question, I want to make sure i look pretty enough to impress a guy I am going out on a date with,
judging from my photos, will he clock me at any time during the date?
From anyones perspective. I don't want to blow it because I like him a lot,
I will be wearing some light makeup like in my first photo.
thanks

To clarify he likes feminine girls and i dont want to look too masculine.

I finally faced the mirror and shaved today, as my face was getting itchy. For some reason I always look better in my bathroom mirror than I do in real life. These pics were taken shortly after I showered, shaving my torso for the first time. It feels so good to be smooth like this! I actually dulled out my body razor and used up all the hot water, so my arms and legs are still hairy, but nonetheless I'm liking what I see.

Anywho, here's a pair of face pics. I'm pre-everything at the moment, so please keep that in mind. (Hopefully I'll be on HRT in a couple of weeks!) I have lipstick somewhere, but I couldn't find it, so meh. Thoughts?

Well I think I finally figured out how to attach a pic so here's mine.

Beautiful ;D
what age did you start hormones? I bet a pretty early age.

Good call. That was my thought exactly, Christine. Glad you went to the doc to let it test. :) - I know it still sucks to be IS but at least you will do great in respect to transitioning and it will likely be much less of a deal than with most.

Actually I've never taken hormones.  I just went to the doctor Friday about all this and they think I have complete androgen insensitivity syndrome. The doctor was shocked to see that I had male genitals and she told me that she almost certain that had AI.  They took some blood samples for lab work and I'll find out sometime next week.

Septet.,  I can't see any brow bossing on your profile  and it shows a femme nose.  Your only real issue that I saw is the width of your jaw and I think this should be fine when mixed in with the rest of your features.

OK, I need some feedback. Its been just over 4 months and everyday seems very very different. Sometimes, I think I see her, but at times I look in the mirror and it is like there have been no changes at all. I tend to see the guy again in the mirror. So disregard the T-shirt, flat chest and messy hair (I hope my hair will be taken care tomorrow) and just be honest - who do You see there? M, F, A?

Overall appearance says male to me, honestly. Probably a combination of the glasses, a hint of adam's apple, the hair, and possibly eyebrows?

Because I think your features overall are getting feminine.

Hey Emily! I think your starting to lean towards Androgynous while you still to me look a bit male (Sorry! ><). But I've only seen a few pictures of you and what I remember you hair was shorter plus they were further back and less portrait so I can't really say how much of you has changed!

I'd like to see you smile however, and from a graphic designer/photographer stand-point those photos are so yellow you sorta of blend into the back ground.

But keep going, I "know" you'll get there!

Yes, Emily, smile! :D - that would look better I think. Maybe also take pictures with better light, it looks rather dark. I would say you are looking androgynous. If someone told me you are a butch lesbian I would believe them (I know one or two who have a similar look), but otherweise I would lean towards gendering you as male. I dont know really why - I think some markers are looking female, esp in the second picture, but you do have some markers that point towards male, that is as said before the small but noticeable adams apple, the haircut, the T-Shirt - maybe the glasses. The hair and shirt would be ok for a woman that has more female gender markers otherwise. I would recommend making a photo without the glasses first. If that looks already better, you could try to get contact lenses or different glasses. Just an idea.

I think some ladies got lost in the shuffle.  I'm going to go in reverse order, but if I miss someone please re-post.

> -Emily-
Reading M-leaning-A.  From the nose up, more A, but you don't have a particularly strong jaw.  I'd like to see without the glasses; I suspect they're emphasizing the wrong features.

> Nicole Nikki

Reading M.  Lovely hair and what I can see of your face is quite pretty.  Bra band generally goes right across the xiphoid process, halfway between elbow and armpit; your push implies a lot of up if that makes sense.

> Septet

Reading M (surprised?).  But you have wonderful bright eyes (especially because they are technically deep-set) and soft features.  I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you find a good foundation and beard-corrector.  Some lip shine perhaps, but do this: block above and below your nose with your fingers, you really are cute already.

> Harlow

A.  But oh so gorgeously androgynous.  I want to give you pixie-burns.  (Lolwhut?)  Okay, so the way you'd trim sideburns for a male-style cut would be to let the hair fall down naturally and just square it off with clippers.  That makes the hairs all end along the same line.  But in a pixie cut, you let the sideburns grow.  Female-pattern hair growth means roots don't grow down the jawbone, but the hairs themselves are long.

The way you do this is to run a thumb or comb up the jawbone.  That pushes the hairs up, you trim or shave or remove the roots below whatever line you pick.  I use the cheekbone.  But I'm still growing out mine, and maybe it's not a look you want.

Much better Emily. Just adding the smile takes you a lot further from M to A and as your hair grows out you should stretch those miles even further to finally hitting A and leaning to F. ;)

I can really see the changes in your face by the way. It's good and you should be confident that the girl is starting to peek out just a bit :)
