I agree w/ Julie about the makeup.

Blue eyeshadow can be alluring. But, if your goal is to pass, a more natural white/tan/brown palette will bring out your femininity even more.

It was actually purple and blue, and silver. ;)  Not what I would wear in day-to-day life, but maybe at night...  you also have to realize I have a big blue streak in the front of my hair, and my nose and both ears are pierced. I dress unconventionally. I would be exactly the same way if I grew up female. I always stood out like a sore thumb, which is funny since I was always shy. But I'm just your typical artist/musician aging punk rocker. lol

This was 4 am, when I got home and took the wig off. So this is pretty much how I look everyday, only with makeup and flat hair from the wig.

This one is better (with my Hello Kitty flu mask). We look like the Village People on acid!

Yeah, right away I was going to say The Village People!  ;D

The only person related with the band that knows I'm trans is the keyboard player's girlfriend.

This is her and I. Everyone wanted to pose with me. lol

I'm my worst critic.  :P

You really looked pretty cute there girl!

Thanks! It as the most fun I have had in many years. And the first time I felt like myself in a very long time. I was married for nine years, and while I loved my wife, it was very hard trying to play the part. She liked my feminine side though, and when I sprung the news on her said that's what she always liked about me. She was very supportive until she got worried about me traumatizing our eight year old daughter. Then she got kind of hostile. I think she's getting used to it though.

One of the band member's girlfriend's had no idea it was me. I've known her for like 4 years. When she was leaving she said "You make a really pretty girl. I hope that's OK to say" Ha! If only she knew... The keyboard player (the guy with the purple hair) said I looked great and should dress that way all the time. I agree! I'm curious what everyone's reaction is going to be when I tell them, but I think a few have suspicions, probably based on some of my friends on FaceBook. They got used to the plucked brows and nail polish, so....

There's only been a few times my height bothered me growing up, but now I'm happy being small, and I have great legs if I do say so myself... Now I just have to do something about this nose... lol

I started HRT just one month ago and I am still on boy mode...trying to let my hair get longer and such.

I know I can't pass as a female now...but, I would like to know if my face is too masculine...what are my chances for the future and what can I do to get a more feminine looking?  ;D

Uh - yeah, I was going to mention that but didn't want you getting a big head over it.  :D

From what it looks like,  you're not too bad off. You do look like you could use a hairline operation.

Your forehead/brow and overall shape of your face are good. Nice lips too. The two things I see are the hairline and your nose needs a reduction in size.

For myself, I have no plans on trying to pass without some FFS, because I'm not going to set myself up that way. It's bad for the self image and it can be dangerous to your safety. I try not to make myself look stupid!  ;)

That's my 2 cents and in no way meant to be harsh.

You know, you look like a cisgender woman I know if that's you to the left there.......yeah, cisgender :)

Your hairline might not come down but it should fill out a little more. You might need to have the hairline adjusted. Brow bossing doesn't look too bad....your face should round out a little and soften, making it less male shaped......a little FFS and plenty more HRT and you'll be fine :)

Yeah that's me, and you wouldn't think so if you saw me without makeup and the wig. But hey, what do I know? A friend on FaceBook said I look like his old art teacher, which was a women. Maybe I just don't like the way I look???

So thank you, I'll take that as a compliment. :)

And you look like my ex girl friend!

Just in case you don't believe me.... you two could be sisters. It's freaky!

Definitely meant that as a compliment, and thank YOU for the compliment :)

She's very pretty. There is a *teeny-tiny* resemblance........I can see where you think that.

You know who she looks like to me?

Yes, it was totally a compliment, and you are welcome.

QuoteShe's very pretty. There is a *teeny-tiny* resemblance........I can see where you think that.

You have to see her in person. I just tried to find a photo, but she looks a lot like your profile picture here. She's probably also a bit older than you too. :) We were a couple a long time ago.

That photo isn't showing up, but I see it's Debbie Harry from the link...

So I relinked it:

Funny thing is her name is Debbie and she is a singer.

This was our band, the Jetsonz, in 1981:

Ah to be 23 again... ;)

Ah, yes, she's a little older, doing the math, but not that much from where I am now in the first picture you posted. I'm a little old to be doing this, but oh well....

I was also in music, but at the very tail end of the decade.....and when that collapsed, ended up doing emo in early 2000s, lol! I had my fun though, and survived it, as did you apparently :)

Always thought Debra Harry was great  :)

I got involved in music in younger days also and met quite a few famous people, unfortunately only about half of them are still alive  :'(

None the less it was quite an adventure, had a really great time while it lasted  8)

Okay, time to get back on topic

Hugs

Hi everyone :) I'm a long time lurker but this is my first post.

I'm pre-everything, about to start therapy, and my girlfriend and I decided to see what I'd look like with a little makeup. I know I obviously don't pass but I figured I'd still post to see some opinions on if I could once I start HRT and have something other than crappy cheap makeup and a single brush lol :)

OK back on topic. :)

Yes, me too! It's very sad. I once made a list of all the famous bands we opened up for in the 80s, and how many of those artists where dead! Some times more than one in a band (like with Wall of Voodoo).

Glad I'm still here!  ;D
