I'd like to get feedback on this from anyone who knows about this. If you are overweight is it better to loose some before FFS?? I ask because at my height 5'7 I'm 218lbs my face will look completely different if I were to loose weight. With HRT and the weight I had prior to starting my face is pretty rounded, especially the cheeks. Most of my body weight is in the tummy area. My reasons for not wanting to loose weight yet is because I plan on getting lipo sculpture. And for decent results I know a certain amount of fat is needed. I'll probably get the lipo sculpture first than FFS. But because I'm not sure if the lipo will effect my overall weight in other areas I don't know where that leaves the weight in my face.

Any answers on this would help.

It's true, Giselle, you need some body fat if you want to have voluptuous curves.

Skinny girls are twigs.  I think it would be best to discuss it with the surgeon.

Generally speaking, facial fat hides the shape of your chin and jaw bones. This is a good thing for those who don't get FFS because it makes the gender of your bones irrelevant. If these bones are male, you rather want them to get hidden,  but if you get FFS you will probably want the changes to result as evident as possible. What I mean is facial fat will probably reduce the visible effects of your FFS, as FFS is mostly about reshaping bones underneath the fat.

I think getting to a healthy weight is a good idea to minimize risks associated with any surgery.
