So 1 week in on HRT and my nipples are sore. More the left then the right but definitely feeling something! I'm sure it's starting so early because of previous breast tissue from my stint with HRT many moons ago.

Question is how long are they going to be sore for? Also I'm pretty sure the growth is slow steady and takes a year or so to complete. Which makes sense, but when does the majority of the growth happen and for how long?

Everyone is different.

That said, I'd say the first two years are often the most growing time...but sometimes not. Myself, the first six months had a little, then it *seemed* like there was a gap, then the third six-month period I had more.

YMMV

mine still aren't sore... :o but they're bigger :o and I have these weird feelings in my chest (where my boobs should be), no pains or anything alarming just not tingly but well... something xD maybe it means something's going on... but no growth or anything visible (other than slightly bigger nipples)

My nipples look the same from my first go at it, so I think I skipped ahead just slightly on that part :P

Yup, that's how it starts. Just remember, "a watched tittie never grows", to paraphrase a folk saying...

Yes, massaging helps. Very much, even if not for growth (I don't think any scientific study has been done, but if it feels good, no harm, right? ;) )

Speaking off feeling good...just wait till the nerves connect to the "happy" part of the brain...:P And not the "happy" as in LOL, but the "happy" like, Ooh la la!

I'm just ending month two.....midway between month 1-2, ( I do weekly EV shots), I say shot four the areola/nipples grew, stay hard 24/7 and are constantly sensitive. Till now, shot 11 is this week...I have to wear a bra all the time cuz if they rub something wrong, it's the worst feeling ever. They look swollen/puffy now...as for growth? Not sure in full, but my band size dropped from 38 to 36....but ya I'd like to know how long this goes on for, too! Heaven forbid I sleep on em wrong or they brush something wrong...heh. But hey they say real big changes come between 3-6 month marks for most girls so well see. I see the endo the 20th so hey, blood work soon!

Yeah my right one is not doing much lol, but my left one the tip is sore. So it's not the tissue behind the nipple. When I first did HRT I remember the soreness being in the tissue. From what I can tell there is no clogged pore or anything, because for a minute I thought maybe that's what it was?? I'm still kind of confused on that??

I do feel "weight" in my chest though more than I did even though I still have a boy chest. Not sure if that's just mental or if that the tissues are changing, and I'm feeling what will become breasts?

IDK excited to see what happens though :P

i feel like everyone's getting changes faster than me :( (i know i know not everyone... but whyyyyyyyyyyyyy!)

My changes aren't as exciting as I thought they were. I thought I had tissue growth, instead my left nipple is just sensitive at the tip. So ... meh ... Not as exciting as I first thought :P

I love my new boobs!  Mine were very sensitive and constantly sore for the first 4 months but are finally settling down unless I bump the little darlings.  Sports bras are great for protection, but going braless in a tight top around the house is divine.  I love to cup them and squeeze myself and the validation of being real is incredible.  This is a dream come true.  At first they grew with some asymmetry, which is normal, but I worried for a bit they would stop at a lopsided place.  They are equal now and it is so fun to look in the mirror and see myself as a girly thang.  It feels like I am a 13 yo girl with pubertal changes while learning how to wear clothes and finding styles I like.  My friends crack up about it and tease our cisgender women friends about my old body having the perkiest tits.  I waited a long time to go through this and believed it was impossible most of my life.  Now I can see how uneducated and wrong I was and how crippling my fears were.
Yes, our mileage will vary and I can only wish you the best of good busts.

Congrats!  Mine are still ache and it's annoying.  I started E in June and sprio in July.  They keep growing and the nipples are fairly sensitive.  I guess its part of the growing pains.  However, I hope they become less sore for you sooner than they have for me.

Glitterfly, honey you have less than a month with HRT right?  I love reading other people's stories here and have read about girls that take a year to get much.  Still, i really do understand the desire, the expectations and how dang hard it is to be patient when you clearly know what you want.  Keep those dreams alive and  imagine yourself a year from now.

Hugs

You are fun!  That tingly feeling and increased sensitivity sound promising and thats just what I first felt too.  What about your mom and sister(s) breasts?  The local wisdom here suggest that they may be a forecaster for you.  My daughter was a very slow starter but eventually developed more than she wanted---the old be careful what you wish for;-)

A pair of Bs sound great to me cause the bigger they get the further they droop with age and you can find more clothes that fit too

I've been on HRT for six months and I am a c cup. They look huge on my teeny tiny body. For the first four months they hurt under the nipple but any achiness has stopped which worries me as i'd like to be a D cup, though I am not complaining by any stretch, there is some tenderness on the outside of the breast which I assume is because glandular tissue growth is expanding to the center and outer boob. They have to go somewhere lol my glandular tissue, the actual lump is about three inches across and two and a half inches deep. it's like a squishy gold ball, maybe a little bigger. It's getting much harder to feel the actual tissue as it is being surrounded by fat. I also take progesterone. I have gained five pounds and it seems to have gone to my  butt. I have new stretch marks on the upper hip. But I have had stretch marks, aka tiger stripes, all over both my thighs since I was 17.

Well I guess I got more excited than I should have.

Not sure what it was but it's pretty much gone now, my chest feels weightier though, possibly fat?? Not sure we'll see I have my 1 month checkup with the doctor this thursday   ^-^

And just curious anyone know what happened to Glitterfly? She seems to have disappeared, her account has been deleted or something?!?!

Anywhoo...

I hope you have a good session with the medical folks Harlow.

Thank you too for noting Glitterfly's absence.  I for one would really regret losing her contributions and voice in the dialogue around here.  Please come back Glitterfly I miss you and you did inspire happy ideas.

Thanks, will update :)

And yes I liked her too, we both started HRT around the same time and even joined the forums around the same time! I found out when I tried to PM her back and said her account didn't exist  ???

I noted her disappearance also...but she's not on the memberlist anymore, and searching for her name (it shows up if one does a search for her name; when people quoted her posts it says, "Originally posted by Glitterfly") did turn up her (possibly) most recent post, date/time marked 2 Sept 2013 8:23pm (pacific time)

I do know that if one asks for their account to be deleted, there is an option to suppress all the posts as well.

Hopefully she'll come back.
