Sorry to invade the SO section of the site.

My wife is looking for SO support, but doesn't want to come to Susans as she wants to keep our support structures separate.

Are there other support boards that you would recommend that are well-trafficked and where she could participate anonymously?

Sorry I'm no help. The only other board I tried was tgboard.com and I found it less than welcoming being an SO

That's still worth knowing. Thank you for sharing.

I can't think of forums off the top of my head for this, but I do know there are in person support groups for significant others.

As for forums, I think a general lgbt board for significant others would be the only alternative to this site.   To be honest, there really isn't much out there that I have seen.  I did a quick google search and a few came up, but I don't know if they are good or get any traffic.  Apparently Laura's playground has one and that site is pretty well known.  I can't really say anything about it either way though.

I've been searching for a while for one. So far this is the best one I've found. Laura's Playground has an SO chat room but its almost always empty, and their general chat room is very welcoming but rarely discusses SO topics, though there are some SOs in there. The best advice I can give you is to message some people individually in here and exchange contact info, whether it be email or online chat info. It might not be as helpful talking one on one to other SOs but I've found its the most direct way to talk about specific issues that often get overlooked on message boards and in chat rooms. I'm an SO cisfemale of an MtF woman, if your wife is in a similar situation you can feel free to private message or email me and I'd be more than willing to exchange info with your wife.

I'd bet that there are more people in this forum with relationships similar to yours who would also be willing to either talk one on one or open a new thread somewhere else together if you contacted them from here. Let me know if you send me an email/message on this thread. I'd be willing to try to start something up somewhere or talk one on one with your wife if shes uncomfortable here.

All the best - Nikki

I'd be willing to exchange info with your wife as well. If she's interested send me a PM. :) I may not be a SO veteran since we've just begun the process the last few months but I'd be more then happy to lend an ear.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of support for SO's :( That said, just looking around on google can bring up a lot of useful info :)

Go right ahead. I don't mind at all.
