Hi my name is emma, I am 19 MTF.
Have not starting HRT yet because I just recently came out to my family.
I have known I was in the wrong body sense age 9 was wanting to change that sense age 16.
I am very conferrable dressing up in female cloths, Wearing a braw and putting on make up.

So the question(s) are as follow.

-In Ann Arbor, MI (I live here) what is the best place to go for HRT? UoM?
-Will HRT help with voice?
-Any tips on what I should expect?
-Any fast way to grow my hair?
-Is there a good Place in Ann Arbor for facial hair removal?
-Will HRT help lower the change of hair on my chest, legs, and face?

Thanks in advance. :D

Hey there I am Zoey 19 MTF :D

Right let me answer what I can.
-NO HRT has no effect on your voice.
-Tips: expect b**chiness for the first year. Get a nice bra when your buds form trust me they hurt. Lactation for a month or 2.
-Trim the tips everynow and then. Eat a healthy amount of protein.
-HRT wont stop your chest hair etc. It will slightly lighten it but in most cases waxing is needed to cause better results as it will help thin it out.

Not a ton of advice but meh hard to remember everything on the spot and sorry I dont even know the country Ann Arbor is >.>
Awww no my little kitten gif site is gone :( sad.

Emma, you did not say whether you are a student at the University of Michigan.  If you are, I suggest you utilize the University's student health services to the greatest extent possible.  College is a great place to explore your gender and sexuality, and to open your mind to all the possibilities.

I would look at this link: http://www.transgendermichigan.org/

Anti-androgens can diminish body hair.  The one I used for six months nearly killed off all my leg hair, and much of my torso hair.

Anti-androgens won't change whatever male-ish voice you may now, but at age 19, it might help avoid letting it get deeper.

If you want to know what to expect, read some of the boards in the transitioning section of the site.

I can't help there I'm Australian

-Will HRT help with voice?
No, voice training is the way to go probably, there are speech pathologists and sites on the net that can help.

-Any tips on what I should expect?

Not sure what you mean? Being on HRT? In that case you become hormonally reassigned. You get redistribution of body fat and develop breasts. You become impotent and eventually sterile. The ability to gain and maintain an erection often decreases but YVVM. Skin gets softer, body strength decreases, particularly upper body, your moods can change, many woman report changes in how they feel emotionally. Many are more relaxed and content. This is partially hormonal but also self acceptance.
Some woman report changes in sexual preference, but again this is probably an acceptance thing. I was attracted to woman, but now am only attracted to men.
In general you become feminised both physically and mentally. Socially you become accepted as female, male privilege goes and you need to learn how to interact socially as a female with all that this may entail.

-Any fast way to grow my hair?

Some people say biotin tablets can help, some say being on E may help. I started about 12 month ago with short hair, my pic is from last week, so that is a years growth for me.
-Is there a good Place in Ann Arbor for facial hair removal?

Most good laser places will do it, it takes a while. It took about 18 months to clear my face.

-Will HRT help lower the change of hair on my chest, legs, and face?

In my case anti-A (Spiro) certainly changed my hair distribution from a male pattern to female. I no longer have back hair, chest and legs are very much lighter. I had some laser on my chest as well. I didn't want hairy boobs!

Thanks in advance. :D
