Hi, it's been a while!
I've been diagnosed transgender for some years, seen psychiatrists and psychologists, and I am now at a place where I am ready to take hormones. I'm not interested in long term therapy before being prescribed HRT, but would rather see someone (or people) who will make a simple assessment, do bloodwork etc and then prescribe. Just don't want to waste too much time (and money) repeating the same things.
What is the most efficient way to go about this: seeing a trans-friendly psych and GP, or just GP, or any other way? I'm unaware of the trans-friendly specialists out there in Sydney at the moment - the people I saw in the past no longer have an active practice.

Thank you.

I don't know who you saw in the past, but I've heard of this place:

Andrology Clinic – Concord Hospital
Concord SYDNEY 2139
Tel (02) 9767 7222

Although it's primarily a clinic for men with androgen deficiencies, one of the nurses there, Leo Turner, is apparently familiar with and has helped trans guys get started transitioning.  If he's not around anymore, then they will still probably help you.

Also, a GP, Dr. John Hayes at Northshore Medical Centre has some experience with trans guys.

I'm currently seeing Dr David Baker from East Sydney Doctors

These guys are located on Burton Street, google them.
Very close to the big junction on Oxford Street.

They're very gay friendly and have an open mind.

Good luck!
