Hi lovely forum members, I'm back from the hospital where I had my top surgery done on the 30th of August.

The surgery I had done was the so-called double incision one, where you get two large scars underneath the nipples along the pecs. They made sure to let the nipples stay attached to a sort of stalk instead of the usual method. My moobs were a C, maybe D-cup.

The surgery itself went well, I was a bit nervous about undergoing general anaesthesia, but it was on trouble at all as they gave me the anaesthesia through the drip feed. When I woke up, however, there was a problem. My left side was flat, but my right side started swelling up. I talked to a nurse and she said the swelling would go down by itself. It didn't. At last the swelling was the size of an A-cup, and the doctors had to put me to sleep again to surgically remove the cause of the swelling. It turned out to be a hematoma, a blood vessel that had started leaking. I was fine after that second surgery as well, though.

I had to stay in the hospital two days extra because of that, and it was kind of neat because I got to know my roommates who thought I was cis the whole time. Currently I'm at home,
writing this on my phone as I can't move my arms enough yet to use my laptop. I'm taking 13 pills a day as the doctor ordered: iron supplements twice daily because of slight blood loss, penicillin thrice daily to ward away any bacterial infections, extra-strength Tylenol for the pain and morphine twice daily for the pain as well.

The reason I'm writing this is that someone else might gain something from reading it. Hope you all have a good day, I've missed this place while in the hospital!

Congratulations! :D

Sounds like your surgeon used the same technique as mine, got two scars along my pecs (+ the drainage tube holes but those don't really count lol). :)
