Hey there girls:

This is my first post.  I hope you all are Ok and safe.  I want to ask about Dr. Chettawut.

For budget and recommendations of 2 friends, I am considering Dr. Chettawut in Thailand as one of my both choices to get SRS.  The other one is Dr. MacMillan Soto in Chile.

I am convinced of Dr. MacMillan coz his results are good, as matter of sthetic and depth, but no sensibilty or orgasms.
So I am considering Chettawut too, he is cheaper than the Chilean surgeon and 2 friends recomend him too.  But I was just reading some opinions in this place that don't recommend him and I was watching some photo results in: http://www.annelawrence.com/chettawut.html  and I dont think their vagina results seems like a normal vagina.  But I don´t know If I am confusing.

So, I would be thankful if you could give me your impressions of Dr. Chet so I will have more things to think about and take the better decision for me.

Regards!
Leonna

PS:  I cant choice US surgeons, coz I am Guatemalan and doesnt have US VISA, and thats quite difficult and I dont have the budget to have SRS with Suporn too.

A very warm welcome to you Leonna.

There are a lot of topics on this board that talk about various surgeons.  I will do some searches and report back later.

Hello  Leonna, welcome to the board, I had SRS with the good DR this last march and I made what I hope a very informative log of my journey https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,137331.0.html , yes there have been a couple unsatisfied people, and yes a couple with complications but please take this little bit of info , vaginas come in all shapes and sizes and if you have your mind set on what you think is a perfect vj remove those thoughts and go into this with the understanding good and bad can happen, and that if you choose Doc C he and his team will take good care of you and do all they can, even if there are complications.

also search for some of my other posts and if you have questions I will answer the best I can, oh and my results are very satisfactory, I say this as my bf- doesn't know or let on any hint of knowing. nor did my gyno until I said something lol ::)

Hey there Calico:

Thank you very much for such a kind answer.  Yes, in fact yesterday I was reading all your SRS journey, and I can realize you are very happy with its results.  Just I have some doubts, in the page says 327,000 THB for the cost of SRS so I am exchanging in some baks (Like XE.com) and they say 10,000 USD or 10,300 etc, but you said your total cost was 12,000, do you think I would loose some moeny in the excahnge or something, or did you have another procedure with your SRS?

After some months your surgery?  are you 100% happy or would you change something?

Tahnk you very much for you answer.

xe is useless to convert. After the Thai exchange at kasikorn bank in Thailand it came out for me at the time any around 12k , Thai baht is like the stock market,  that is it changes daily, I would say I spent in total for everything including air fair, food, hotel, therapists letter, and pre medical tests and procedures to be about 17k
one thing I had to spend extra on which I didn't like was the 2nd therapist letter, that was an additional 300 that shouldn't have been necessary. be sure that before you have surgery you have 2  phd psychologist , or psychiatrist letters.
IMO 17k wasn't to bad, but being that much opens up a couple other options as well so just a thought.

Thank you for clearing me this.  So, what would you advice me?  I was counting 10 or 11k for the operation and another 1,200 for hotel and food expenditures, and flight are very expensive from Guatemala to Thailand, are like 2,400 USD.  Making scales on Panamá, Holland and then Thailand.  I cant pass over US due to lack of VISA.

There is a page where I can have just the correct exchanges?

Thank you very much for your colaboration.

I would add at least an additional 400-to the hotel expense's to cover food and any additional things you might need, be sure to stay  at the dusit and include breakfast in your plans for the room! this is very important thing to have. Also make yourself aware of what deliver foods there are available as if you don't pay attention the hotel food gets very expensive "dinner is 20.00 usd :o" I found this out the hard way after eating 4 meals  :-\ its good food but 20.00 a plate .... yea, mcd's delivers, so does kfc there is a good mexacan delivery that's is pretty cheap 6.00 usd, I have another thread about food in Thailand as well, it has info there and if you find more please feel free to add to it for others, on the plane ticket I bought mine 2.5 months maybe 3 in advance and it was 1450 round trip on a quality airline, use flight service on line like yahoo travel.
my advice is when you do the money conversion make it where there is a cushion for variance in exchange, my math on the exchange is for every 1usd=28 Thai baht, when currently its more like 1 dollar = 31 baht a 3 baht difference! if you do it this way you wont have issues with your cash- I didn't except when I went nuts in the mall and eating at the hotel :-\

Thailand is beautiful, and very tropical be sure to pack light!!!

Awww thank you, Calico, for warning me about how expensive food can be at hotel.  I was thinking to have some instant oat meal, light yogurt and canned fruit, at least the days that I cant get out of the hotel. I am thiking to take the cottage. I think this is a special way to loose some weight, with pain and operations botherings I think I wouldn't want to eat MCd of KFC.  I must admit that right now I want to loose some 10 pounds!

But as long as I can, I will be glad to try traditional thai food.  I think is amazing to discover a country with its people and food.

Now that i was checking mails Ms Som snet me the link where in can make exchange and rates of their bank.  So I will see this, and tell you later.  This one: http://www.kasikornbank.com/EN/RatesAndFees/ForeignExchange/Pages/ForeignExchange.aspx

Do you tink after 3 weeks or more, I will be able to know some touristic places in Bagkook or other provinces?  Or just the near places arround hotel and clinic? I am a bit worried now coz I sent 2 days ago a last eamil to ms Som with some last questions, but she didn't answer me yet.   What should I do?

With love!

3 weeks recoup is still going to be difficult, I will urge you to not take the cottage because the benefits of the dusit outweigh it considerably, about 90% of Doc C's stay at the dusit so you wont be alone, and making friends is terrific and helpful in recovery, another thing is the mall is literally next door! and you can get everything there. also free fast wifi is at the dusit, and the hotel staf are very curtious and super helpful.
its possible to go see things in Thailand before you leave, but you must be careful, I was going to the mall in the 2nd week, and there were lots of spots I could sit and catch my breath there, also so many food options, 2 supermarkets, lots of pharmacies the mall is insanely huge!
you will lose 10 lbs easy during just the surgery and recoup time!!!! so don't worry so much on dieting as your body is going to need everything you can give it! Oh and also invest in vitamins, such as B-comlex, D and omega 3-6-9 complex it will help recovery.
Don't buy bread products to store for later either shelf life is bout 3 days there as they don't use preservative!
what I did at the hotel is I would get breakfast and stock op extra for later or to snack, than get something for dinner, I never ate at kfc, or mcd's but I did eat at subway and a Korean buffet, with other patients which was awesome!!!  8 bucks each for 4 and you got unlimited food!!!!
so I hope this helps imo there is no comparison between the dusit and the cottage .

Aww Calico, you are being so helpul in this.   Thank you for telling me about the cottage.  So I wll try to book the dusuit.  By the way, we both are talking about Rama hotel?  or you hosted at other hotel?

So I bet you didn't have the chance to look arround Bangkok, I bet the process will be more painful than a liposuction?  I had a liposuction and fat injections in buttocks in 2010, and was awful.  But after 2 weeks, I could come to work.  I bet this is a more difficult process.

I never tried Korean food, just chinesse and once went to a thai restaurant, but I think in Guatemala are not like in their own country.  I hope to loose 10 pounds and more!

Just i am worried coz I still dont have an answer from Ms Som :(.

why not just send the money through western union to avoid the thai exchange? ill pay my surgery in full Before i Get there just to avoid that.

yes I am referring to the dusit princess, the Bangkok rama isn't comparable anymore, no I didn't get to see Bangkok much I actually went on the minimal time schedule so.... I should of stayed one more week  :-\ food is very much so different in its native area, I had some Japanese and omg!!!!!!!!!!!!  so yummy!

loveless, to try and answer you best if you wire transfer to the doctor he will want it sent to kasikorn bank anyway, and then you will have to deal with transfer fee's, and if you live in the usa ,like me, you will have to prove where you got the money before they will transfer it. this was a headache so I just took cash and my visa bank card . let me see if I can fig this up entirely so I can give accurate amount of cash. honestly the conversion isn't that bad and kasikorn directly is bad to exchange money with, I did hear there was a western union in the mall but I never found it so..
oh and be sure if you take the cash- keep it close to you, and make sure it has no marks or rips as kasikorn wont exchange it..but the hotel will
I also figured I would add this-
assuming you have your 2 letters and preliminary tests done

1st deposit - I sent 2200 of which 2182 was applied
2nd plane fair I spent 1442
I took 12000 cash with me
I used 600 off my bank card
I came home with 400.00
so total not including the 2 letters and preliminary med tests
15,842 USD

Pack light, buy sandals if you don't own them, and tennis shoes that you can pull on and off easily, don't take jeans of any kind, you will not want to wear them, jus take light loose clothing it will be 90-100+ degrees there
