Hello lovies  :)

I recently returned from my 3rd appointment with my endo and had an estrogen pellet implanted that will be suitable for 3 months. He said the pellet will like increase my estrogen levels far better than the pill and has the added benefit of not worrying to remember to take pills everyday (well besides my spiro and progesterone).

I was wonder if any of you lovely ladies have gone down the pellet route and if so did you find them a better alternative to the pill?

xx

Hi Paige,

I've been on pellets/implants for the last 12 months. Wonderful things!! They last me 4-6 months at a time. The endo takes a blood about 3 months after implant and we track the levels from there for the next one. My E has been wonderfully stable since being on them!

You don't have to remember to take pills, you don't come off them for surgery. Win win as far as I am concerned. A bit more expensive is the downside for some girls.

The only bad thing for me is that I have a mild allergy to the local so I itch like crazy for a few days. I have them in my tummy, I know some have them in the bum, but that sounds too painful for me! I'd fidget when sitting!
