How soon after starting HRT did everyone have a mammogram?  What about pelvic or prostrate exam?

Never. Screw that noise.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

Three months after HRT, but only because of age and family history of breast cancer.

Breast cancer runs in my family as well and I've lost an Aunt to it recently when she was ~50 I believe.  I don't think there is a history of any male exclusive cancers, but of course early diagnosis is the best treatment for just about any cancer.  Basically I will be following recommended exams schedules for all the above based on a woman/man of my age ;D

Not yet. Endo and doctor agree that it's usually a question of the age of the breasts, not the woman, and mine are not yet four years old. Plus I'm solidly under 40, and the current recommendation is 50.

Last prostate exam was ... uh, a physical 2-3 years ago? Dunno. The doctor couldn't find it anymore, so we stopped bothering.

I had a "pelvic" to check on healing at 4 months post-op, but don't expect to need it routinely, as I don't have a cervix to check up on.

Not even on my radar until I'm over 40.

I do regular self exams but then I continuously check my entire body for new neurofibromas (tumours) and monitor existing ones so I'm a bit different than most.
