Not by fellow staff thankfully, they're all super supportive, but i work in retail and now six months on T it's really starting to get to me when I'm misgendered. I get misgendered about 50% of the time so I seem to be passing sometimes, and not other times (voice is in the middle of breaking which isn't helping much). Should I bother saying anything though? Realistically, most of the customers aren't going to remember my face or name, and might not come back to the shop, so is there any point in correcting them? It does get me down though and I feel myself actually tensing up when I'm misgendered and I have that brief 'will I, won't I' moment but I never bother correcting them in the end.

I pass 100% now, but when I didn't pass I didn't correct, looking back I should have, my mum always corrected them though, but my mum is awesome ^^ if you feel confident I'd correct, I would these days, but I wasn't comfortable to stand up for myself back then

I understand what you're saying about not correcting the customers because they not likely to see you again (or remember you if they did), but there are a lot of guys who seem to feel as though they shouldn't correct people because it's only a temporary thing (not passing) and it will get better the longer they are on T for.

Well, I disagree.  It's the principle.  If something makes you feel like crap, try to do something about it.  Don't just sit there and let people (even if it's innocent, which it is) misgender you.  If your co-workers are supportive, then speak up, man.  You don't have to be rude to them, but gentle correction is completely acceptable and I say that you ought to learn to correct people - you will feel better about yourself at the end of the day.
