in my head im trying to get around being trans in a new way , by trying to see it as natural , normal , ok , like I see gay as being perfectly fine , it helps with over population so I doubt gods overly against it , so im looking for theory's relating to nature , or god , spiritual or even just great quotes that are uplifting and beyond the whole trans is monstrous and weird
im just trying to get my head round it till i start therapy and accept myself , because im driving myself insane
im very up and down with this , which i guess is normal ?
sometimes I accept it in that I cant wait to transsition
other times I just see no future at all

Wow great topic.

Variation is natural, wouldn't you agree?

Most variation is destructive. Less than half of fertilized human ova survive to the second trimester of gestation.

Our variation is less destructive. We live lives that enrich those around us if we can survive the dysphoria and make peace with our condition, either through accepting our bodies and cultural roles as they are or through transitioning and modifying our bodies and/or gender roles.

The world is richer because of us. We defy attempts to impose rigid biologically-based gender roles in any society where we live openly. We help people question what it is that truly makes them a member of their identified genders.

In return we get a much deeper understanding of both sides of the gendered world. Those of us who transition know the indescribable euphoria of finally seeing ourselves the way we always knew we should be. Those of us who don't transition know the peace of accepting inconsistency in mind, body and soul.

Uk, I don't know if that's what you're looking for, but I hope it helps.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

all indigenous peoples in the northern hemisphere used to see those with a gender or sexuality differing from the cis-hetero norm, as being closer to the spirit world.

shamans in siberia will tell the same stories. there was a finnish tv program where a guy went to explore russia, and he met a gay shaman in.. not sure where, but in the altaic region of siberia it should be. the same among the saami people, though not as well known.

one reason that shamanism was not practiced by viking men might be that it's associated with a femininity that was considered extremely shameful for men to display. the great god odin was the sole male shaman among vikings.

My religion says souls are gender less and our bodies are just temporary tools. So, I see no reason why I should make my soul conform with what my temporary body and society says I am. I also see trans as being normal, since being trans is more about being true to your soul, while just shoving it aside for social conformity is more like a form of lying.
