Should I return this? (aka: LOL Henry is in a dress!)

I have to dress up for work, and since I still present female, I decided to get some dresses since women's suits are so uncomfortable (plus, it's cheaper to just buy one dress rather than a shirt, pants, and a jacket).

I just ordered the Oh My Posh Dress in Burgundy, since red is my favorite color and it seemed fine to wear to the clinic and for days at the firm where I am only meeting with clients, and it would look fine with a brown/tan cardigan during the cooler months.

However, the dress here looks fine from the front, but the back looks like crap IMO. The side zipper seems to make it bunch and warp at the left side near the hip. It wasn't sewn properly to get the seam to lie flat where the side zipper ends.

Front looks fine:

Back (see the warping at the left hip?):

Warping (that's with me wearing it):

I can't tell if it looks bad enough where it is worth returning and getting another dress instead or if it's something that I should just overlook. What do you ladies say? (BTW, if I return it, I'll probably get this dress: I Dream of Auburgine Dress)

Edit: to fix grammatical error

I would return it for the reasons you listed here, but I am very picky. To me it has to fit me, not I fit it especially with bad sewing. Just my opinion though as most clothing cost's a lot.  :)

Thanks Jessica, I'll look into returning it.

I just noticed this dress: I Think I Can Dress in Teal, there's no zipper. So, now I am not sure if I should get that one or the I Dream of Auburgine dress linked above.  :-\  I think I am leaning towards the teal one.

Oh, how I wish I could just wear my cargo shorts, my Primus t-shirt with the holes in the sleeves, and my Jesus sandals to work.

I like that Teal dress!!

Have you thought of tunic tops and leggings or pants if you want something more 'in-between'? Obviously I don't know the dress code or what you are comfortable in.

It's up to you, but I'd return it for the reasons you listed.

I'd be fine with that, but the dress code is mainly suits, blouses/skirt suits, or dresses. Khakis and polos are fine on days when no one is coming in (usually the week after Christmas and New Years). I have a few suits, but they're so hot to wear in the summer, and the shirts never look good and need constant adjustments thriughout the day.

I love the color aubergine (= eggplant)

Return the first dress - that's a second or blem.

I agree with everyone else that you should return the dress but I'd suggest getting the I Dream of Auburgine Dress, I think it's prettier/nicer than the teal dress.

Well, I did return the dress and after roughly a month of looking for the perfect replacement dress, I order this dress (Lindy Bop's "Wynona") on Amazon. It fits perfect, I was afraid it'd be a little tight up top and would look a bit slutty for work, but it's really professional and seems to be a good quality material. I'd recommend it for the girls here looking for something for the office.  :)

(and it took only 6 days to ship to New England, USA from the UK)
