I was wondering if anyone new the difference between estradial cypionate vs valerate. I am currently taking the cypionate and wondered if this was the best option as I have read that the valerate was better for transition. Should I talk to my endo about switching?

Im on ev im. I believe my endo said its in castor oil, its a lil thicker then cypionate if i remember correctly, too. I think the two binding esters determine its release mechanism, one being longer to release over time then the other as the body breaks down the esters. If one has allergic reactions to one injection, its common to try the other with certain endos. Although its rare people have issues on valerate, it does happen. If i were to think, cypionate has a longer binding/breakdown, so requires smaller doses? Source: my best friend is a PA and looked into that when asked really fast. Other then that, idk. I just know im prescribed valerate *shrugs*
