Well you know I'll be honest  ;D

It's really good, but needs work. It doesn't sound natural at certain points to me....almost like you are trying too hard. Try to relax a bit and flow more. Your highs are really excellent..like perfect....the deeper tones sound almost like you are going through your nasal passage like you have a cold or a stuffy nose.

Your voice is great!  I have to say I would never know.  And to echo the other girls...I coulsn't resist snooping through the rest of your album  and you are beautiful!

Lori, I'm reading from the screen, that's were the problem lies  ;D
I should really try to learn it by heart, it would make it a lot better.

That's my natural voice. My voice is THAT high naturally no joke.
If I've got problems with my lows its because I never speak low in conversation, in fact, I can talk even higher than that; I'm comfortable in the high range. In the poetry reading, I'm trying for more much broader range. I noticed that in the start of second sonnet is slightly nasal with a very high pitch, then the nasality fades in 5-6 seconds.

Also, my voice sounds a bit different when recorded through a good mike (I got professional ones) instead of a camera.

I just took a spectrograf to that sample and the FO=270, which is pretty high. My normal everyday voice's FO=235-240.
Minimum pitch 130Hz, maximum pitch 400 Hz, that's quite a speaking range, average deviation around average pitch=50 Hz. Its funny that my minimum pitch is close to the male average and I've got a lot of problem around that pitch.

12% shimmer... GRRR, that's caused my by vocal cord problem, in the morning its around 7%. This makes the raspiness in my voice.
The stats come from the free spectograf, Praat

Maybe you are just nervous :P

Camera shy? I bet knowing it by heart and the second go around when you are more relaxed will even the lows out.

I think this is a great thread and something that I think is so important.  All too often we see threads about HRT and what to expect when, which is useful, however, I think something along these lines is such a fantastic tool.

We had a thread awhile back with diferent voice samples and it would be nice if we could dig it up and the girls could update us on progress.  I am one of those girls and would be happy to let people hear what I sound like (I have been slacking a bit but I am better)

You sound great. If anyone else heard you without knowing in advance that you were demonstrating your voice for us, I don't think they would give your voice pitch a second guess.
Let me add that you look great as well.
