Some time ago, I contacted a friend of mine who's a high priestess in a local NROOGD coven about helping me with a re/birth ritual. She sent me a draft of the script yesterday, and I'm meeting with her tonight to go over the details with her husband, who's the high priest.

Wow.

I still have to write a eulogy for myself, to be read at the ritual by my second-born daughter/son. I'm going to be symbolically laid to rest and then birthed. Looking over the draft, it looks like this will be an intense and deeply meaningful thing.

The date is set for the 9th of November.

That sounds wonderful Constance, I am sure you and your family will feel a nice sense of closure and be able to carry on with your lives in peace and joy.

Yeah, that's the idea. This has been an interesting process, and with my legal stuff being completed earlier this year, the ritual stuff is due now.

Interesting way to do it. Not sure if it's for me but it is for you, and I wish you luck on it.

Thanks Willow.

BTW, before choosing the name Constance Anne, I had been considering a name that would allow me to keep my birth initials. I was named David William, and my first name choice was Dana Willow:)

Heh, that's pretty funny.
I'm dumping my birth initials. If I endup going to Argentina like one of my plans has it, I'd probably go for something exorbitant like Mónica Súarez Belottí da Silva or something.
Right now, Willow is good enough. I really don't know what I want for a female name, but willow will do.
Good luck on your DW to CA transformaton :)

Sounds very interesting! I'd like to hear about how you feel afterwards. I'm a very spiritual person and can really appreciate the symbolism and thought that goes into rituals, whether they be religious/spiritual, magic/k(al) or otherwise. :)

Blessed Be! ;)

So I met with the high priestess and high priest to discuss the ritual last night. I think it's going to be both powerful, emotionally fulfilling, and emotionally draining.

David will be laid to rest and Constance will be birthed.

And my second-born will be baking the bread that's to be used during the feast part of the ritual!
