It's a little romanticized. I'd prefer a grittier, more realistic depiction of the period.

I'd take Saskatchewan weather over Chicago weather, to be honest. As cold as it gets in the winter (-40 and colder), there's very little precipitation, humidity, or wind. A good coat, toque, and gloves and I'm good to go!
