i think she's talking about the dilator tink.  i read somewhere that years ago,
postop women used to wear their dilators at all times [like a tampon]. we now complain about how frequent we've got to dilate.  can you imagine wearing one all day long?  i can't.

All the dilation instructions I've seen say not to do dilation for over an hour.  The blood flow is kinda' restricted by the stretching, and needs to be restored for the tissues to rebuild themselves.

What was the thinking behind wearing a hard plastic 'tampon' all day?  It must have made some kind of 'sense' to somebody...
