I've talked with my MD over the phone about wanting to take the testosterone injections.  He gave me a name of the specialist and wrote a referral. When I called to make the doctors appointment they told me to fax a letter from a therapist and it looks like I'll have the letter in time before my date due to the fact its 2 months away. Now I'm wondering how many appointments before they will start giving me testosterone?

Hard to say baby. It will depend on your lab results and if any medical problems are discovered. Good luck!  :)

I think it varies. My experience.. 6 months of therapy. I had addiction and depression issues though.

It varies greatly between doctors/countries.

My therapist told me the average is 6-8 appointments in the Netherlands, but that depends on your mental/physical background as well.

Got T on my first Doctor Appointment, no waiting for blood tests though they did the blood tests.

Thanks everyone now I have some idea. I'm hoping that I get lucky with my first visit too.

I'm not on T yet, but when my friend got it, it was like this.

I had to do two. One to get asked questions and have blood taken. The second one was after they got my blood work back. They had me confirm I really wanted to start hormones, sign paperwork, and then I got the script.

Durp, I can be so stupid at times. I completely misunderstood the question.

As for the real answer, one visit was enough. They just do the standard measurements (weight, height, bloodpressure) draw some blood and immediately give you the T without waiting for the results here.

yeah... Add me to the list of dorks who misunderstood the question  ::)  One visit to the endo and I had my prescription. That's after I was cleared by the therapist though.
