Male voice, without putting any effort into changing it:

Female voice, recorded tonight:

I was reading from a speech.

Be as mean as you need to be, I have to know exactly what to change/improve in order to sound naturally female. I have been practicing for about one month total.

Here's my critique of your voice:

Monotone:
Your female voice is really monotone, like your male voice. That's something you'll need to work on so you get more feminine inflections as you speak. Try slowing down your speech and focus on emphasizing certain words. Think of yourself reading a book to a group of children. Read slow and add inflections to add emphasis. Once you get better at it you can lessen the amount of inflection to a more natural level. Look at the following measurements to see what I'm talking about:

Here is the results of your female voice. As you can see the blue line stays relatively straight, with some minor variations.

Compare that to a recording I did of the Rainbow Passage before my VFS. You'll notice that there is a lot more variation in frequency throughout the entire recording.

In both measurements you'll notice that our average frequencies are almost exactly the same. Resonance and inflection are what make the difference.

Resonance:
I think you need to work on resonance, as right now the female voice has the typical falsetto sound to it. It's not as pronounced as it could be, but it's there. This might be easier to handle once you work on inflection, as you'll naturally slide between different frequencies and not stay at the same monotone falsetto voice.

I would say work on these two area and come back with some new recordings to show us your progress :) Good luck!
