I have the same sort of diet yet I am skinny with a pot belly and a quite muscular upper body. My legs are stick thin especially the lower part of my legs which are really bony.

Maybe more excercise? stomach excercises? I don't know  but the fat seems to keep acumilating in the places I don't want it. But it won't go where I want it (hips thighs, legs etc).

I sort of have the opposite problem.  My legs are tree trunks (very muscular), my shoulders are broad, my neck is thick and my core is dense.  I basically have the body of a construction worker (except that my arms hand hands are below average size.  I don't have very good upper body strength).  I have been doing lots of cardio and stretching in the hopes of slimming out my muscle mass.  I'm in a bit of a catch 22, I don't want to put on upper body muscle, but I think my weight loss is stalled because because I don't do any strength training at all (I'm not on any hormones).

I might have found a way to get spiro under a doctors care (as a blood pressure treatment), which might allow me strength train without worrying about increased muscle mass.

I had this same experience as well. My T levels were always low, even pre HRT. With a T level in the low 200s, I was very muscular with a 320 lb. bench press. One look and you'd swear my T was thru the roof. Same with my brother.

My best luck has been with limiting protein in-take, and long duration, low to moderate intensity cardio. Some of which the above article touches on.

Genetics can be freaky, I've just started lifting and my upper body and arms and legs are putting on mass, and I have low t but my father and uncle are very muscular

I only started to get cramps in my muscles when progesterone was added to my HRT. Changes I have noticed so far - my upper arm is of the same circumference, but if I flex my biceps not much is happening anymore - in terms of volume increase. My neck has gotten a tiny bit slimmer but I am stll not happy about it. Not much increase in my chest area - I always had very strong back and if I am flexing muscles there, it feels like there are at least 2-4 inches to loose.

Ok, this might come across as trifling but, theoretically, couldn't body massage help with the muscle loss, if only a bit?
Starting from the fact that muscle tension (as in workout) helps it retain it's shape and mass and reducing the tension depletes it, and also assuming all of us build tension up in various places during the day while performing our jobs and chores, couldn't relaxing the "problem areas" help AA's and E do it's work better in reducing the muscle?

When I quit my job I found that my muscle loss has accelerated, due to the loss of everyday strain and stress; well, yes, partly due to the less physical activity as well, but I maintained that in some degree afterwards.
I've found it takes love to make or do something, and without love it's senseless; void, empty, vain.

I'm jumping on this thread a bit late... but I've been on a salad diet (with meat for protein... usually two times a day). I was never the muscular sort... and I'm still plagued with T (high, low, I don't know), but I definitely feel less strong now - especially in the arms. My scale keeps making that BF% go down and Muscle% go up... but I think that's more a factor of losing weight than anything. I still have  a ways to go, though... and AA's start soon, so hopefully that really helps me.

I've also just started my exercise program... I've been very lax on exercise (walking here and there - that's it). We have a Wii and my x2b-wife didn't like the Zumba Fitness game she got. . . well I like it! It's impossible (not sure I'll actually learn to dance with it) but it gets me moving at moderate to high intensity. I only hope it doesn't try to strengthen my legs. I have nice muscle definition in my legs... just too much of it (and my thighs are too big with fat, too! ;)).
