Is there any way to minimize clitoral growth on T?

After hours searching the internet I have found an abundance of information regarding maximizing clitoral growth on T, but no information about minimizing it.

I tentatively identify as male (definitely on the male side of the gender spectrum, but not entirely male), and there are many changes I want on T. The deepening of the voice is the most important to me. I plan to go on a low dose of T for maybe as much as 6 months and then go off of it.
The one catch is the clitoral growth. If at all possible, I would have no clitoral growth. I am happy with my genitals as they are. But I know clitoral growth is one of the first changes I have to expect when I go on T, so I was wondering if there was any possible way to minimize it...maybe apply estrogen locally to it to counteract the testosterone? Or something?
I don't know. Maybe it's just not possible. But I think having a huge clitoris would make me feel awkward and dysphoric, but I'm not sure to what extent. I think the voice deepening is more important to me than the appearance of my genitals, but I'm not sure.

If anyone has any ideas/experience on this subject I would appreciate it.

No. You can't really play with T or dip in and out in hopes of picking and choosing changes.  We're no different than cis guys in this respect, in that there's no definites or things we can pick and choose because T affects everyone differently at different stages and it's more genetics than dosage.  Easiest way to appreciate this is facial/body hair.  Lots of variations there from people who have fine hair and not much of it, to guys just one step behind monkeys!  You can't just get the voice, you get all the other stuff, you get downstairs growth, you get body and facial hair, you can lose your hair, you can get acne, you can get chest/back hair.

Do your reasearch on T and make your mind up from there, there's a LOT of different changes on T and many are not reversible, including downstairs growth. You need to decide what's more important, a deep voice or small downstairs. Also, your voice could actually take longer than 6 months to settle btw, I've been on T for a while and I still ocassionally crack although it is calming down, but my voice dropped less than 1 month in which isn't the case for. everyone.

Maybe rubbing E cream on them, but not sure who would give you that, so I'd say the answer is no. You can't pick and choose sadly or most people will not choose male pattern baldness.

You may find your opinion on this changes over time as you think about things and decide what is important to you.

The growth was something I was really hesitant about at first as well. I felt it would really make me feel like a freak. But now, I want the growth and really want bottom surgery.

Probably TMI, but I was even afraid of looking down there after starting T. I waited weeks before I could bring myself to do it. Then - I noticed nothing.

Information around about growth sorta seemed to make it out like you look down after a week, and you will see major changes. It hasn't been like that at all for me. My libido is up and stuff feels different a bit, but it doesn't look much different after 2 months of testosterone. Maybe I just have slow or minimal changes down there, who knows.

The growth wasn't something I was excited about honestly, because to me, I can't see an enlarged clit as my penis (not to put down those who do, but that's just my dysphoria and how I feel about my body). I was worried it would be painful and make me feel gross. But it didn't hurt. And actually, although mine grew, it was small to begin with and it still looks like a cis women's clit. Not everyone gets a massive one. But what others have said is true - voice actually takes a very long time to settle into a comfortably male range, and I don't believe there is a way to keep the clit small.

From what I understand, DHT is linked to clitoral growth (some testosterone is converted to DHT, and some people who want to further increase their junk will use DHT cream). Certain drugs block DHT receptors, which may be of assistance...but no guarantee. Your growth is also determined by genetics, much like cismale penises. So you may be lucky in the sense that you don't experience much growth at all. However as the others said, would you be prepared to deal with any unwanted side effects if it means you get the voice you want?

I agree with this completely.

That's pretty much what I expected. I'm fine with all of the other changes--excess hair I can always shave, acne isn't a huge deal, I'd actually like to gain more muscle. The only change I'm wary about is the growth. I've done a lot of research and I'm almost positive I'm going on T, I'm just anxious about it,is all. There's a chance I won't have as much dysphoria after I get top surgery and I won't go on T at all...but I've still got plenty of time to think about it. Thank you for the advice.

When I start taking T I guess I can ask the endocrinologist about it. Thank you.

It's good to hear some people don't experience much growth--maybe I'll just get lucky. Who knows.

I can sympathize entirely. I'm glad it doesn't hurt. My voice doesn't have to be super deep, just deep enough to pass as an adult male most of the time (there are plenty of adult males with higher voices). So hopefully it won't take long to drop but I know I can't control all of the changes. Thank you for the input.

I certainly hope so. I'm thinking if changes start happening too fast and I get freaked out I'll just stop T and maybe go on it again later if I can handle it. If I have a super low dose changes should be gradual enough so I don't feel overwhelmed. That's the goal, anyway.

Well... for me, mine does look exactly like a penis at this point (just scaled down) and ALL of the time. There is nothing 'clit' about it. I don't know specifically when that happened but it did and it's getting larger still. Sorry, I just didn't and don't spend a lot of time looking at it (typically, a little in the shower every so often and because... I don't know why. I just do sometimes).

I'd inadvertently seen my dad's when I was a kid (my fault, I walked in on him in the bathroom; busted door locks can be awkward things) and he isn't lacking. So that probably does explain why mine couldn't pass as a 'large clit' even when flaccid.

Evidently they can still grow more over several years even when they'd stopped for a time. The size increases there were one of my first changes and for me they happened quite fast. The rate of my body hair changes indicates I have a decent DHT level, so that's also undoubtedly a part of that too. I don't think it is Testosterone that causes the downstairs growth for anyone (if that were true, they'd get fairly sizable before official puberty). Nope, I'm sure its the DHT. So PERHAPS a blocker for that...

If you're going to take T, make no mistakes. It will cause manly characteristics all over unless you're insensitive to it. You'll largely skip right over the slower boy stuff and go right into the man stuff. If you can't handle that, then I would hardly recommend T. But that's your decision and your right... but just really think carefully about that first. There really is no picking and choosing what will or will not change. On the other hand, a very low dose MIGHT be enough for what you want without a lot of the things you don't... then again you would need to consult with a competent Endo about that.

My most undesired change was a cleft full of hair. Well, it happened. In spades (think Velcro). I actually developed an emphatically full pelt (I swear even my chest hair will meet my beard at the neck when it finishes filling out. I can already see some of them doing just that). I just wish it wasn't THERE. BUT... I understood going in it was inevitable and it's not really THAT bad. It's just the getting used to it. And really, it doesn't bother me nearly so much to even consider having it ripped out or some other crazy thing like that lol.

At any rate, my TT before I'd started synthetic was 69.5 ng/dL (understand, that had been my natural level for quite a time beforehand. That level x time is why it did that to my voice but without changing much of anything else; well, apart from higher muscle mass but those were it) and my voice was low enough to pass for around a 15 year old boy (it had begun to crack and make an annoying "clicking" thing at times). That's not a hell of a lot compared to what it is now (800 ng/dL at 7 days). And also, if you stopped, you may just be stuck with a jackass sounding voice (I mean a literal donkey-noise). That's what happens on T until it really settles and that won't happen if you stop it before. That would personally drive me insane for the rest of my life. But as ever, YMMV.
