Hi!

Long time no talk...anyway I'm having forehead reconstruction, scalp advancement, hairline recontiuring, and brow lift with spiegel tomorrow morning. Have to be at the hospital at 6 am. On the bus to Boston now!

I'm so grateful to be able to do this, and appreciate all you women have done for me in my transition. Your support and suggestions have been vital.

I'll update to let you know what's up!

Good luck girl friend. I so hope all goes OK. You look very nice from your pic.

I'm hopeful to have a face lift & neck lift early next year however I'll just use a normal plastic surgeon. I'm older than you & it's time for a little work.

Take care,
mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Abdominoplasty/tummy tuck & some facial surgery May, 2015. Life is good for me. Love long nails & handsome men! Hopeful for my GRS & a nice normal depth vagina maybe by late summer. 5' 8", 180 pounds, 14 dress size, size 9.5 shoes. I'm kind of an elegant woman & like everything pink, nice & neet. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

Oh my god!!!

The surgery was a total success, I haven't seen under the bandages yet but can see te front of forehead mostly and it is amazing. This so surreal, the ridge is GONE I am /fixed/.

Thank god for this surgery. It's breaking my heart that this is possible, that it was accessible to me.

I got out of surgery at 10am and felt immediately over joyed and calm. Dr Spiegel is so sweet. I love him.

Lol I'm gushing but can you blame me? I'm so unbelievably happy. Tomorrow they change the dressing and I can see the whole thing for the first time. Yay!

Then I'm heading to the hotel and recovering for a week before stitches out.

The center ridge is in and of itself such a critical change, that ridge has always haunted me and causes me pain and masculinized me. The INDENT between my brows is gone. :) so surreal.

The center ridge is a big deal but what I hadn't really understood was how transformative the reduction of orbitals is. My eyes are way more open now. Brow lifted and soon enough ill see my scalp advancement and hairline recontoured. I hope the corners are rounded off.

In my post OP haze, speigel came and asked if I had any questions and I forgot to ask him if he managed to create a round hair line. So we shall see.

He called my mom when he finished my surgery and she told me later what good energy he has. She also told him how grateful I was to be able to work with him in particular. So sweet. When he visited me post OP he was so compassionate and ugh I'm just the happiest girl in the world today.

Love
Di

That is GREAT!!!!!!

Glad to hear it went well.  You will post a picture once you have healed!!!

Hugs,

Jen
To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

I must say, you do look pretty darn happy for someone whose head is wrapped completely in bandages.
