My only trans girlfriend had laser hair removal before starting her treatment.
She's also always had a crazy full head of hair...so she's no help on two ends.

I've always hated my body hair and am finally getting laser of my own.

My real question is girls who are on hormones who have seen hair growth on their heads.

How much growth have you seen and what are you taking?

I know I know genetics plays the biggest part...but id love to hedge my bets.

Thanks ladys ^_^

It depends on how recent the hair loss is.

I've read that HRT can reverse about 5-7 years worth of hair loss.

I already made a very elaborate post on the matter in another topic a few weeks ago, so rather than repost the whole thing here, here's the link, if you're interested in a more in-depth analysis: https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,151195.msg1261972.html#msg1261972

It's another one of those YMMV situations, I'm afraid.  I was thinning and receding a bit before HRT, now it's coming back to where it was maybe 10 years ago (read: basically full or within normal/passable cis female range), but there are plenty of women here who needed some supplemented even after years of HRT.  Plenty of ciswomen out there are in the same boat, I assure you.

My hair had thinned, there was a small bald patch at the crown and it had receded at the front and sides.I first noticed it around 1984 and started HRT in 1990,by late 1991 the bald patch had filled in.I don't think any at the front came back but bangs hide it easily.

Minoxidil is a topical application that can help in many cases, but takes at least four months before the effects (if any) are evident. Also, not cheap.

You can get a 3-month supply of generic 5% Minoxidil for like $25 at Walmart. I don't think $8.50 a month is that bad...

A bit pricier in Australia sadly... plus no Walmart :(

You can get it for even less if you shop online. ;)
