I want to make this question because I have so many doubts about my body looking, and before I start something that can bring
me deception, frustation or depression... I prefer to see some opinion about myself, so here we go!

I didn't started any HRT yet, but I'm planning to start soon enough, maybe in a couple of weeks.
I've decided that after many years hiding myself with fear, family opression... but it was killing me from inside, and depression
almost took my life.

I don't have friends or someone to talk about it, I got 2 sisters, they know about my thoughts and how I feel, so far, I had this thing about work, and what people would think, but I can't fight against it, it's my life.

My mother knows about it, but she wont accept it, that's why I've lived keeping distance, and now I want to go forward and advices will be very welcome here.

So, what you think about? Am I good to start and make my dream become true?

I'll take...

cyproterone acetate as T-blocker
as estradiol it will be Estrell

I understand your pain and frustration. I'd start with finding a therapist that I'm comfy with first and go from there. Deep breaths. As far as the meds go, leave that up to the Docs, they're the experts, will keep you healthy and have your best interest in mind.

Totally agree - you need professional guidance, Fernanda, to help you on your way ... and it's absolutely essential to have medical supervision if you want to start HRT.

Good luck on your journey!!

Thank you for the answer Sandra, I'll start with a therapist, guess it's the right thing to keep my mind healthful, anyway... Do you think I can pass as female ?

You do not look very masculine so if you want to live like a woman, you can.

Hormones and good make up should make you look passable.

I live in a pretty conservative part of the world, and in the past few weeks, I've only had one woman give me a second glance. You said you're in a good part to transition.

You know, You don't always have to go "full time forever" if that's not what you're comfortable with. The option to try it out and see how you will fare is there. I did it, and it gave me the most confidence in going full time :)

Good luck!

Dear Fernanda...

As all the others have said, and I say too, please start with a gender therapist.  They can be helpful in so many ways.  You do have a wonderful head start; you look very feminine and can quite easily pass.  A therapist can help you, though, dealing with resistance, finding new ways to bridge the gap with your mother, navigate your country's legal system, and so many other challenges that lie ahead of you.

And please remember, too, that the people here at Susan's have helped each other through many tough times too.  I know I speak for many when I say that I want you to consider us a part of your family, and that we will do our best to be there for you.

*hug*

You are not alone.  It may seem like it sometimes, but you are *never* alone.

Yes, you are right Sandra, but as I never talked about it with anyone, and I live hiding this woman inside myself, that's why, I want to see what people think, I'm getting comfortable now, as the answers are going to the right way.

Happy with all the answers so far... thank you Sandra.

Hey WFane, You just said you live in a conservative place, may I ask you where? I'm from Brazil and it's not gonna be a problem.
For now... I'm not feeling ready to go "full time", I will follow the advices here, visit a therapist and then start my HRT, in a couple of months I guess that I'll see a lot of changes, hopefully to get great results.

Thank you, kisses ^^

Almost cried with your message, It's good to have such answers like that, you just made me feel part of this place, it's like an invitation with good support from all the users here, and it's gonna be... definately, the greatest thing for my next step, and of course, I'll come back with updates and doubts, but I see it's a very good place, and I'm glad to see that.

I didn't started my HRT yet, so imagine when things start mess with my psychological, hehe...

Thank you for this wonderful answer, I'll take them in my heart, and follow everything you said.

Kisses ^^

I'm going to agree with the others, Fernanda, and also just say it outright, please, please, please do not self-medicate. That is very dangerous. If you are going to begin HRT, do so under the guidance of a good doctor who understands the issues and what needs to be monitored.

You definitely already pass as female so if you want to do this, then do it but seeing a GT would help immensely.
