@ Aina - tnx :). Auntie sounds good (I am not that old... am I? :)).
@ Bardoux - thankie :)  Those words do mean a lot to me - although I do not always see that in the mirror - but especially when someone like You says that and I remember Your pics, where You look like a 20-22 year old cis-girl... :)

Haha, no you don't look old to me sorry it came off that way, Aunts can be young too! I was more trying to say you have similar features she has!

Okay, I decided to stop being a scurdy-face and post a more clear picture. So here I am, 5 weeks HRT, 'au naturel' (so technically guy-mode). Aside from my nose, doing something about my eyebrows, and lack of make-up, is there anything else that stands out that I could improve upon?

In all honesty I think you pass really well from atleast the neck up!

OK Ashley, I think you're pretty darned cute and girly looking as is, I know I'm a pain-in-the-a$$ Johnny one note, but I wish you young folks would do away with the pierced lips, it's not pretty and becomes a focal point distracting from your good looks. One would think you've been fishing with me and we had an accident.

Well you're already quite cute. You mentioned make-up which I'd include your shadow under that part. So I'd say you pass pretty well and that doesn't look much like boy mode. Your brows look fine to me. Love the lip ring too. Makes miss mine.
Byes!!!! It's been real but this place isn't for me. Good luck in the future everyone.

Personal preferences m'dear. <3

And thanks everyone. ^__^ Sometimes I just need some external positive reinforcement to keep from deluding myself lol. Shadow is especially noticeable because I just had my second laser session a few days ago. I think maybe early next year I'll feel confident to try doing my hair and make-up, after a couple more sessions. :) Oh and it was a face shot so ya'll didn't see mah boobies. xD

You look rather androgynous, longer hair and different styling would certainly slide you over into femininity.

I've been on hormones for a year. I started out with a ton of masculine features, people already have a hard time recognizing me. I'm taking things slowly. I've been speeding things up recently.

For shame! You should have been growing your hair out during that time!

Not necessarily so! I've been on HRT 19 years and keep my hair short, it's not all about hair!

I'm just saying that's a very masculine cut. Going with a pixie or something similar would be better than, say, a Caesar.

I've always wanted to slide from male to androgynous to female without trying (I don't want to look ridiculous and have people stare). I recently went back to "bisexual male, dating a gay guy" because of things I can't talk about because of the rules of the forum. I thought hope for transitioning was gone, so I stopped everything. Got my hair cut (wasn't that long, but whyyyyy did I do that). Thankfully I kept the top of my head at an inch or so and didn't cut it the next time I got it cut, but the sides are a bit shorter. Then dysphoria comes back and I realize I can't not transition. I really don't want to cut it again, so a pixie cut is a no (even if I cut a half inch off, that's a month's growth!) I'd rather wait.

Ah, I see. I've seen a few threads like that, where girls decide to stop transitioning and cut their hair. It usually doesn't end well. In any case, good luck! Not that you really need it. ;)

I love these threads, and I'm back. I'm not sure if using imgur is the safest bet here, as I haven't really come out to anyone but my closest friends, but I can't think of anything else.

Hair is growing back nicely, and I'm building up quite the collection of clothes! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Pre-HRT, just padding - going to see the Doctor to ask to talk to a therapist next Thursday, anyone here from the U.K. been through that?
Lets see how long this avatar lasts!

Ashey... My thoughts for what they are worth...

Firstly you have many great points like your jaw line which looks great and generally you look like you are doing very well...

Make up, brow bossing, nose bridge,

The picture is a little fuzzy and I can't tell what needs doing on your brows. ... make sure you try and lose the hairs underneath in preference to the ones on top to lift the brow.  Look after your hair more and get it femme trimmed, get rid of the piercing - it masculinises you. There are very few piercings that feminise other than the ears. Maybe naval, nose, something tiny in your tragus, but not a lip piercing, visible girl erar rings makes more difference than you would think, oh and... smile.

Good luck with everything x

I did it once. Cut it short and donated it. Regretted it a bit but it grew out again pretty quick. Very depressing without mah hair though. :(
