I decided to revise this topic since nobody is responding.  The topic in a way, no way relates to me going on HRT, but does at the same time.

Here is the thing, ive been battling acne for sometime now. It comes and it goes without rhyme or reason, yeah itll come worse if im not perfect(and i mean perfect) with hygiene.  One of my testes was always smaller than the other significantly(but not atrophic). My doctor checked them out and thought they were pretty normal although he said they seemed more harder than normal.  About the time i hit 24-25 all the sudden my body hair grew in like crazy(although my beard never fully grew in and im 28) somewhere along the way my testes became the same size. This is ontop of having pretty minimal ejaculate compared to what ive seen.(ive not been with that many guys, but most had more or almost more than i could swallow lol). My libido is also pretty damn strong, im sure you guys on here know the feeling when your hormones are raging even if you arent mentally down for it.  Not to mention my skin and hair is often abnormally greasy, im talking 15 hours after a previous shower, my hair is so greasy ive got to double wash it, and the greasyness goes through my foundation like its not even there(not sweat either, esp in 50 -65 degree weather). I should also note, deodorant was not necc. until i hit my mid 20's and i didnt have acne really before that either.   I also get intense meat cravings fairly often and can "smell" a woman from 20ft away(drives me nuts, only happens sometimes though).  My Hairline has also started receding and there isnt a single man or woman who suffers from hairloss in my entire family all the way up to death even.

Anyways, i asked my GP about this when i first started Minocycline and he ordered blood tests for all my hormones.   Minocycline was like 30 bucks a month, and worked like a charm, however after 3 weeks i got itchy hives all over from it.    Since im allergic to sulpha, my choices are pretty minimal at this point and my current acne med costs 120 a week.  I havent gotten the hormone tests because they are 800 bucks and i dont have it.   I could possibly get my T checked at the health dept, but none of the others, since health dept works on a sliding scale it would hopefully not be that much.
I havent yet leveled with my doctor about my trans status for fear he would drop me and the pharmacy hes connected to would pull their advertisements from my taxis.  However, after my last visit, im sure he must have some idea after seeing my purple lace cheekster panties from VS when he was checking out my skin.

SO, i was thinking of just leveling with him on the next visit and straight up asking for an AA like spiro or something.  AFAIK, AA's arent inherently that dangerous right? And the pill ones are prolly cheaper than the 120 week im spending on my current acne med.   Wondering if anyone's ever done anything like this or has any input at all.  I really dont want my skin to be any more messed up than it is. Laser resurfacing is going to be insanely expensive someday.

Sophia,

I am taking finasteride for a prostate problem and I have experienced loss of muscle mass in the upper body, hair has stopped thinning, and my breasts are much larger.

Finasteride is indicated for hair loss and prostate problems. But there are side effects. Approximately 1% of men taking finasteride complain of gynecomastia. But not me. I love my breasts.

My upper chest used to be 48 inches. Now it is 45 inches. My deltoids and biceps are much smaller. But I never measured them.

Anti-androgens should be a part of hormone therapy for anyone who wants to undo the effects of testosterone.

ninja admin edit: no dosages please

I already have gynecomastia lol, dunno why.  I want to eventually get onto decapeptyl injections. i booked a testosterone blood work up today at the health dept. thankfully only 30 bucks instead of the 350 it normally is here. too bad they dont test all the other ones i need.
