"Urges" while recovering

I haven't had bottom surgery yet but I'm looking into it and figuring out my options. Since mostly all of them go in stages over the course of a year including regaining feeling and sensation, do you still get turned on even though there is no feeling and just can't do anything about it? Or do you just not get turned on at all until there is sensation back in the area?

I had a meta and there was (and IS) normal feeling.  I would say after about 3 weeks I took care of those urges.  Things were a little too tender beforehand, and lots of stitches.

Phallo is the one I'm most leaning toward but thats good to know in case I decide to just go with meta, thank you

i had phallo in july. I had some complications so my recovery has been a bit slower but most guys ive talked to are able to "take care of it" after about 1.5-2 months. For the first month recovery was pretty painful and sex was the last thing on my mind. Once i wasnt in too much pain i started getting horny again. I was really sexually frustrated for a while but it kind of eased up after another month or so. And the feeling is still there, its just overpowered by pain for the first bit of recovery.

mangoslayer, sounds like you are doing great since your July surgery.  Is this your last one or do you still have more to get your final results?  It is great to hear that everything to working great for you down there.

If you don't mind me asking, what doctor did your surgery? I'm leaning toward Dr. Crane, I've heard a lot of good things about him and like the way he does the procedure but It's good to get opinions from someone who has already had it done

I went to crane. If you want to talk privately feel free to PM me. I've actually had two surgeries since july, one for a post op infection and one to correct a urethral stricture. If all goes well my next surgery (testicular and erectile implants) will be my last.

I hada a meta phallo combo. I tried to phap like 10 days after and basically my little pen is got swollen and i did not come. Strangely enough, I moved the catheter in a certain way and came spontaneously. I was pretty worried though when it got swollen and would not go down for a few days. The doc said it was normal but I think its best to keep yourself under control....

I was functional about 3 months after my surgery but things were still a bit sensitive

Ive had phallo, and Id say it doesn't matter if sensation is still coming back, the "urges" are always there. The only time I didn't have them, was the week or so right after surgery where youre just so drained anyway.
  2 weeks post op was where I was able to take care of that, so don't worry too much about not being able to do anything. As you can see from what some of the others are saying too, it is possible to carry on as normal
