  • I'm raising a camel.
  • I cook better italian than my mother (she's a professional cook).
  • I did read The Iliad for the first time when I was 11.

Picking #3 here Shelly.  The phrasing is off, you don't "had read" something!  It is "DO" or DO NOT"!

In quoting, I see your HTML, interesting  ;)

Thanks, corrected.  :-*
What about the code?  ???

Maybe it wasn't yours, maybe auto-added?  Your 3 items show up as an HTML list structure when quoted.  Try it, you'll see what I mean.  I've never seen that happen here before.

EDIT: Hmmm, I tried it on Connie's list above, same thing.  Must be the system, not the author.

Sure it's the author. New post, second button from the right in the second row from top, "Insert Ordered List".

I'm going to guess that #2 is the lie.

If I were to make the same claim, even if it were true, my own mom would have me utterly destroyed!  :D

Number 1 is indeed a lie. Though I started reading The Silmarilian when I was 15, I gave up pretty quickly. I'd be 30 before I read it cover to cover.

I started reading it as a teen. Still haven't finished it. No desire to, either.

OK, one more set...

1) I played football in college
2) I got drunk with Slash once
3) My first car was a '66 Mustang

I'm going to guess 3, but I demand (politely) a story about 2.

I'm going to guess 1, but if it isn't a lie, I want a story please.

1. I used to dress like a pirate in high school (or as close to piratey as I could get).
2. I used to play guitar in a band.
3. I have a problem with impulse control.

Good morning, players!  Well, #3 is the lie.  My wife's first car was a '66 Mustang.  Mine was actually a '77 Chevy Malibu.

#1- I didn't actually play on the NCAA team, but I played intramural and "unofficial" tackle games at UC Santa Barbara.  I was relentlessly recruited by members of the official team, but I refused to take the requisite steroids.  I was a pretty good weak side outside linebacker that ate quarterbacks for breakfast.
#2- I met Slash at a bar near a SoCal NAMM convention about 15 years ago.  It went downhill from there.  Somewhere there's a picture with me wearing his signature hat.  The resulting hangover was legendary, requiring some "hair of the dog".  I still hate Heineken.

Okay I love this game so I'm going to try too!

1.  I am one of the top ten rated woman chess players in my home state.  But yet at my local chess club people express shock upon learning that I know how the pieces move.
2.  I have a green thumb for African violets only.  All other plants die when I touch them.
3.  I came close to being appointed by the President of the United States to a fairly senior position in the U.S. Department of Agriculture earlier this year.

I'll do the big reveal tomorrow!  If there's anyone on the board who knows me in real life, it's no fair answering because you'll probably know which is the lie!

Jill that's really cool you got to drink with Slash. He was the reasons I loved top hats as a kid.

@ThePhoenix - I am going to guess #2 because death touch for plants tends to cross all plants.

I guess I'll play as well.

#1 - I was an All-State baseball player in high school before destroying my rotator cuff.

#2 - I have a "double jointed" ankle.

#3 - I have a half sister I've never met.
Byes!!!! It's been real but this place isn't for me. Good luck in the future everyone.

I'll guess #2.  I know all about killing plants, having the black thumb of death and all.

I'm going to guess #1.  Rotator cuff injuries usually take more years of abuse to manifest themselves.

I'm guessing #2 because it seems like an anatomical impossibility for an ankle to be double jointed.

Ok, I'm going to do another one (hopefully it's allowed)

  • The DMV department tried to arrest me for falsifying my identity when they could not verify my birth certificate.
  • I've been electrocuted twice and should have been dead by now.
  • I have a dent on the top of me head hidden by my hair where I was attacked by a dog when I was 5 years old.

According to the rules, I'm supposed to say which one is a lie now, but since no one guessed, that would be silly.

Oops! Sorry about that. Hmm, let's see...

I'm going to guess #3 is the lie. Being an Adam Ant fan (yeah, I'm that old) I can see dressing like a pirate in high school. And, being a guitarist in a band isn't all that odd so that seems reasonable too.

Hayley: I'll say 2. Love your signature btw, The Wonder Years are awesome!

ThePhoenix: gonna guess 2.

Edge: I'll say 3.
