BrotherBen

Came out both on facebook and at work this week, and so far everyone but my mother has been fantastically supportive! Here's the FAQ I linked to when I made my facebook announcement: http://namelessstate.tumblr.com/post/67638036126/faq

At work I just altered the example letter I found on the Center for Gender Sanity site. http://www.gendersanity.com/sample_letter.html I found that really helpful, as my own tone tends to be a little too casual and open for work when I talk about this stuff.

I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders- I was very anxious about coming out at work, even though I knew my job would not be in danger I just wasn't sure how people would treat me.

Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the person you hide.
