Well, we continue to receive a trickle of responses. I thank you all for your inputs.
There is still insufficient data to say that a clear trend or trends can be shown (or disproved). It's not surprising that Cali is in the lead, due to it's size in terms of both land mass and population, as well as the progressive nature of its' culture. By that same coin, it is surprising that Texas is so far down the list, having considerable size as well. Similarly for Alaska, although its not as far behind in the polls nor has it the population. And of course Rhode Island is very well represented for it's small size (but HUGE stature

).
Some of the front runners are surprising to me. Michigan, in second place is also not too surprising due to its progressive nature (in some places anyway

). The tie for third place, Virginia and Wisconsin, are both surprises to me, especially Wisconsin. Much like my home state of OK, it's my impression that Wisconsin has been slow to embrace the TG concept.
Some of the the states bringing up the rear are curious as well. Colorado, Idaho and Wyoming have no votes. That is a significant amount of land and people, and Colorado strikes me as progressive towards TG acceptance. Furthermore, by including Utah and Nevada with low counts (2 and 1 respectively), there is a contiguous land mass with a dearth of reported TG births.
Just some thoughts here. I'd love to hear others musings over these results. Please keep in mind, this is very much unscientific and should be considered appropriately. Please keep comments friendly and constructive, you never know whose state you might be bashing!
