Hay all :)

First of all, I'm only just starting my journey here so I'm nowhere near the stage of actually considering any kind of surgery or anything, so this question is entirely out of idle curiosity and wanting to learn more about things :)  Also I apologise if this is in the wrong place (seemed like the place to put this but if not then by all means move it to somewhere more appropriate :) ), and I also apologise if this has been asked before but I had a look around and couldn't find anything on it (I'm quite possibly just being a blind bat though! ).

So to the question: what *EXACTLY* are the (subtle?) differences between a "feminine face" and a "masculine face"?

Obviously I'm a human being and I can say at a glance "that face is feminine" or "that face is masculine" etc, but I'm really struggling when I come to try and put my finger on exactly what those differences are and put them into English words.  Of course everyone is different and all that and what looks masculine to one person may look feminine to another etc, but there must surely be some general "rules of thumb" / commonly accepted standards etc going on here mustn't there?

Hopefully some of you can help a sister out :) much love to all of you <333

Male faces are more square, with hard edges, while female faces are rounder and have softer and less pronounced features. Male faces have wider and square jaws; female faces have smaller rounder jaws. Female noses are smaller; females have pronounced cheekbones; male faces have bigger brows and a brow ridge. Female eyes are usually bigger and have a wider opening. Females have a lower hairline; males have a higher hairline, usually with a "M-shape" and can suffer of male pattern baldness. Females have their mouth closer to the nose and fuller lips. Females have thin and arched eyebrows (sometimes it is plucked to help achieving this shape) while males have much thicker eyebrows with straight shape and closer to the eyes.

Well, it is something like that.

Natalia!  Thank you hunni that's exactly the sort of information I was looking for! ;D <333

That pic is actually a perfect example because - apart from the differences you pointed out - the two faces are otherwise pretty similar.

I've always had a bit of an artistic streak in me but I've never been too good at drawing.  A few days ago though I pledged to a Kickstarter campaign (Sketch Workshop, if you're curious :P ) which will hopefully help teach me.  It turns out the female me has a *MASSIVE* craving to draw lol   What I'm wondering is - would it be useful to draw male and female faces to get a better feel for these differences?  Would that be a good exercise for me to do?

i think that photo originated on the website http://www.virtualffs.co.uk/

aside from advertising a service of digital facial feminisation editing the website also has detailed information and examples of the differences between the two genders
