Post op ladies what kind of physical changes can I see after SRS? I've been on HRT for under 2 years. Do you think I'm going to see more physical changes because I'm having it so early into my transition? I'm just curious.

Thanks for your replies! :)

I suspect it depends on the person... I had GRS at about two and a half years on HRT, and I noticed some additional breast growth and fat redistribution, but both were no more than a typical "growth cycle" had been for me before that, if that makes sense. (=I don't know how much was GRS and how much just more time.)

The change I noticed post op, was I regained some weight, since I was not as active as I had been.  Lying around for all those extra hours dilating did nothing for my girlish figure, not to mention sitting around in the bath tub helping my sutures heal in warm water.

I had been on HRT for 3.5 years when I had my surgery and while the absent natural T is not missed by any means, I and my Endo both agree that my age and my Spiro had done in the stuff long before the surgery could have.  Unless you have a toxic dose of estrogen that is shooting holes in your liver big enough to drive a truck through, the E is just going to work at the pace your body would have gone had you been natal female, it just starts a little later. (If the dose is that toxic you have little to worry about on future development for darker reasons.)
I refuse to have a war of wits with a half armed opponent!!

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!

Hi ... I have a perspective that is perhaps even too old ... I had SRS 28 years ago, so I'll try to remember that far back!  I do know that prior to SRS I had electrolysis to remove the hair on my chest, and it was progressing ... but not complete yet.  Then after the SRS, I lost all of the hair on my legs and the rest of it from my chest.  I also noticed that my beard really slowed down ... Still had to shave, but only once per week or so.  All of this was due to the SRS, because back then, HRT wasn't what it is today, so I wasn't on that.  There was no redistribution of fat, no changes to my figure, and my skin did not get any softer ... Therefore all those things must be due to the HRT.

I hope your SRS went well, that you have no complications ... And enjoy your new body!  Roberto
It took a lot of doing, but I take a lot of pride in what I am.

I haven't noticed any changes post-op, though a lot depends on several factors. My Estradiol dose was sharply cut immediately post-op which might have been a factor.
