I only heard about using this method not that long ago while browsing another trans website. I just got the nerves to call around and ask and I found a doctor who uses it for HRT. And now I have an appointment in January with her.

Needless to say IM JUMPING OUT OF MY EFFIN SEAT IM SO HAPPY SGLKSDGOIWEHALSJFLKGSD  :icon_cry2:

I sort of got T via informed consent. Or my doctor's version of it. She asked me some questions, she was concerned if I had support (which I do), had really thought about my decision (which I had), was in good health (I am), and if I "passed" the labs (which I did). That was her version, it is pretty common one around here. There is one doctor doing the real informed consent thing around here. Theoretically it's a checklist or something like this. You sign saying you are aware of the risks and so on. I believe my doctors' concerns were legitimate, but I could see it isn't a system that could be replicated very well.

I bet if you contact this person they can tell you everything you need to know about informed consent in San Diego. The person is a therapist (I don't know anything about this person, I just saw the link once and remembered it when I read your post),and I know you just want informed consent, but if you look at the link they focus on promoting informed consent, which probably means they can give you a list of dr's that do it in your area or can help you out in some other way with it.
