Alternative Binding Methods

Next week I am visiting my family for winter break.  I want to bring my binder, but if my parents see that I brought it, they will confiscate it like they did last time.  But I don't want to feel dysphoric about my chest the entire month I'm with them.  I've read about ace bandages, but they seem uncomfortable (it's a 7-hour drive).  Any thoughts?

You should not use ace bandages at all.  I'd go with a tighter sports bra. 

I'm confused as to why your parents are disrupting and even taking your personal items, considering I see you've posted in another thread that you are 18, or why you are visiting them for that matter if they are that disrespectful of you.

he might be in college with no where else to go for winter break.

My fiancee's parents cut up all of his binders right in front of him, he started waring a back brace to school, wore it on his hips when he was with his parents, and then just pulled it up in his car. or you could wear a couple of extra strength sports bras and stick to wearing button down shirts and jackets/hoodies.

I'm in college but I'm not staying in my dorm during winter break.  I was 17 when my parents discovered that I wore a binder, but I didn't tell them what a "binder" actually was.  They just thought that it was a crappy sports bra.  Before that, I used masking tape over a sports bra and no one was suspicios of me "binding".  But the tape didn't work very well lol
