You can never have enough of those.  Or guitars...

I could use a 1959 Fender Bassman myself.

Portia Porcupine in a living, breathing, speaking form.

Oh....wait....that won't happen.....damn.

Hmmmm, How about a couple more audio compressors instead? That would be cool.

sign me up for a vintage but unused Les Paul and an old Marshall amp (and maybe a soundproof room too?)

Be careful what you wish for!  I like a vintage guitar that has been well used and worn.  This means there was a good reason to play it, and these usually sound and play best.   Vintage guitars in mint condition often were never played because they were inferior instruments the first place.  Great for collectors, but not so much for players...  Plus I get to save some money.

And yes, you want old Marshalls.  You can never have enough of them, and I have the hearing damage to prove it!

Would be wierd if santa gives you a single e string for christmass

I know that feel though...

Actually...you just reminded me a painfull story , has to be like 5 years ago when I bought my e guitar (esp ltd ec 50)
when it arrived I tried to tune it and I broke the high e string, I was sooo excited to finally have it in my hands I actually cried a lot
meh next day I bought new ones,,,and thank god my brother did told me that new guitars have bad quality strings ...cause I would hate my self even more than I did.

the strings on mine should be entirely replaced too. It's a Fender Squier Strat and the stock strings are a little weird. I think i'll get some D'addario strings maybe?

Sorry to further momentarily derail, but I have a lot of experience in this department.

The first thing I ever do with a new (or new to me) guitar is give it a proper fret leveling, dressing, polish, restring and setup.   Even when a decent guitar leaves the factory, these things are always done in a slapdash fashion.  Factory techs have daily quotas and only get 15-20 mins at best to do what should really take at least 90 mins.  Bulk strings used by manufacturers tend to be the cheapest ones they can find or produce, and imported guitars tend to spend weeks at sea, where the salty air can corrode strings, frets and hardware.   Some guitar retailers will give their guitars a onceover, but that is fairly unusual.

What I want for Christmas is a new band and studio.  I haven't played a gig yet in girl mode.

Give me a bass and some time to practice and I'll join!

$20,000 and a ticket to Montreal. :)

In more reasonable terms, I'd love a chance to go home again.

Dear Santa, for Christmas, could you please give my family a roast turkey dinner with all the fixin's, and a dessert of chocolate hedgehogs and turtles ... oh, and trifle ... plus a magical cleanup of the house afterwards? That way, I can put my energy into relaxing with my family. Thanks so much!
