Depression is gone

since I've been on hrt I can't get sad about anything! Its amazing how calm and peaceful I've become. Nothing bothers me for more than a few minutes.
Sometimes I start to feel guilty because I'm not investing any of my energy towards ANYTHING negative.
I don't want to change people or fight for causes or spread awareness or protest or be an activist. I simply don't care anymore about the world's problems anymore.

Things that used to make me bummed out; like the never ending grey skies of Washington State, hearing a sad song, or having my plans cancelled; don't get me down.

I'm focusing on the positive, and starving the negative.

The hormones have helped tremendously. My body and mind are in harmony. Everything feels balanced. Not too much, not too little.

Its very nice to feel this way.

That sounds wonderful and I hope I can be like that in the future. I was trying to explain to my military psychologist that I believe I'm angry most of the time because of my gender and he basically told me I'm making an issue that can't be solved. Anyway, that's why I started seeing someone outside the military and have been discussing HRT...

I am glad you are having a good response to HRT. That is what all this is about, finding what works and what does not. Not everyone need everything to get to that happy place.

I can relate so much to this, now after a year I'm finding new ways to care about what happens in the world, now though it's driven much more by love and compassion than by fear and that is a blessing!

That's awesome!  I experience things a little differently.  I now tend to get very emotional sometimes, and have found a capability of crying that I haven't experienced since I was much younger.  It may sound weird, but I actually like that I'm able to cry rather than having an annoying numbness that I used to have.  I suppose I never really had a way to release my feelings before.  I get a good cry in when I do feel a little down, and then I'm back to my normal.  I can otherwise say that I am a very happy person now.

not angry though,,,definitely not angry...and still not able to cry I think...
