I had my doctor's appointment yesterday and he sent in my prescriptions. Unfortunately they didn't have what I needed in stock, so I had to wait until today. I just got back from the pharmacy, got my prescription for estradiol and spiro, as well as Retin-A, everything was covered by insurance, and as of an hour ago, I've begun HRT!

YAY!

I'm feeling so many emotions right now. Happiness, excitement, anxiety, worry...

From all of your personal experiences, what's the first thing I might possibly notice? I feel like the first few weeks/months will feel like they're taking forever!

I would love any advice for me going into this big change in my life.

Also, YAY!

patience my dear , it will take some time unfortunatly...

I think the first thing  I noticed was the decrease of libido...
after that skin and odor changes and also acne issues gone...

as far as more drastic changes like hair , muscle etc ,,,it needs more time :(

Congratulations on a huge milestone.  I was totally anxious to get going and was simply euphoric for months.  My smile wouldn't quit.  I recall my first changes being a sense of being right and calm.   After a couple of weeks some very welcome tingling in my breasts started.  Libido and soft skin changes were very welcome too.

It may not really be magic but the results for me are divine.

Thanks for the Retin-A tip.  I may need a gallon or two

The first thing I noticed was a slightly heightened sense of smell... within an hour.  I think it has died down, though.

That's pretty quick. I've not noticed that. Also, I'm starting on a low dose and gradually moving up every few weeks.
